Legends of Belariath

Benita

For a long time she just drifted from place to place, the wind currents carried her through many geographical areas, and taught her how to use the gift of air coming from her fingertips. She met very few below staying up in the clouds looking down until she found the place she wanted to settle. Her youth imposed a unique shyness on the Sylph, and it was hard for her to meet anyone without escaping up into the skies because of it.

One day she met a savage with long white hair, and dark skin. He was a powerful man and stopped her from escaping with his cunning intelligence, luring her with a place to stay and employing her to keep busy. She enjoyed gardening, and found his horses to be fascinating creatures with great speed. Her skill in riding came quick and easy. It seemed second nature for her to work with them and ride with great ease without falling.  She agreed to tend the gardens of the savage's estate, and he taught her more than what she came for.

Even during a war she kept the winter root cellars clean, and cooked, teaching herself, since gardening and riding the horses in inclement weather was impossible.

The savage watched her for a long time, fascinated with her youthful appearance, pink hair, golden flesh, and almond shaped amber eyes. There was very little fight to the naïve Sylph since she found him warm beneath his scarred appearance.

Barador lavished her with gifts, and from owning one piece of silk wrap he decorated her in many beautiful seductive clothes. She was surprised by one dress he brought home, never seeing anything like it before, and she wore it proudly sporting her favorite color pink that matched her hair.

Her healing abilities were studied alone in her room while the savage slept on the floor on furs in his room. Unbeknown to her she learned healing abilities that would never heal him, and he told her only another necromancer could heal him if they were available. That explained a lot, since she secretly tried healing his deep scars seeing no results.

When the war in the southlands broke out, she decided to remain on their estate and heal the injured brought back home. The savage prized her staying with him, and it is said he has possibly found his long time search of the perfect one. Time would tell.
