Born to what was by all accounts a typical Sylvan village and in fact the early years of Lezlie's life were just that. She was normal child with the same lighthearted goals of any child. Though where most have the entirety of their childhood to be naive dreamers Lezlie's chance at such a privilege was cut short when trouble arose within her home village. A place that had been safe and peace all her life had suddenly become anything but and the surrounding scape had become a virtual war zone. The Elders were flush with promises that troubles were well in hand would soon be resolved that would soon prove to be anything but the truth.
Outside the protected borders of their village they were under siege an army of sorts of moriel purists had, after some years of peace, resurfaced with the intend to battle back the other elven species into extinction starting with this village. The villagers would fight back in force many falling in the defense of their home and their families. Despite the best efforts of Elders the facts of their dire situation could no longer be kept from the young ones of the village. Both sides would take heavy damage and by the time that the Sylvan village had claimed a minor victory and beaten back their opponents into retreat unfortunately many of the children had been left orphaned by the fighting.
A hate had started to grow in Lezlie a fire burned in her that couldn't begin to rival any other's disdain for the beasts that had attacked them an taken so much. She readied herself even as a now teen aged girl she would be prepared to defend against the monsters in the night. But there was peace now over time she calmed and grew but that kernel of hatred never withers and would be nurturer to flourish at each rumor that was passed around about the army that had devastated their home each word that suggested that another village was under attack.
There came a time that the Elders made whispered plans to make a strike against the moriel in retaliation. But to maintain the appearance of complete innocence it was intended to to fake an attack on a shouting party and put the blame on the moriel to gain the full support of the village. Lezlie having discovered the plan confronted the Elders with the threat to reveal their scheme. While she hated the moriel likely more than anyone in the whole of the village she thought it was madness to risk another war and the lives of those that remained. It was 'suggested' that she leave if she did not like the choices of the Elders and so she did just that she left under incredibly mysterious circumstances as far as the rest of the village was concerned and the village her home would be left in a perpetual and seemingly endless state of battle and fighting.
