Legends of Belariath

Aiesha Skyler

A life of servitude was this gentle kittens lot in life, not that she minded much, it suited her well, she enjoyed the menial tasks of cleaning and cooking, gardening and sewing, it suited her gentle nature well. She spent the first few years of her life working as a scullery maid for some faceless noble, she enjoyed the work, it was honest and kept her out of trouble. It wasn’t until she was sixteen that she was removed from that job for denying the nobles son his fun when he found her working alone in the kitchens, she was let go soon after for incompetence.

While the expulsion from her job hurt, the kitten wasn’t overly wounded soon finding herself the property of an old healer who needed extra hands, while she was no longer a servant but slave she found she didn’t mind this life at all, like being a scullery maid it suited her well, she was treated good and taught the basics of healing, growing to love being a healer as much as being a slave, while the man was too old to use her as any other master would she did become a companion to him making his last days upon this earth full and lively while he taught her his craft and she lightened his heart. It was a good relationship, one she still cherishes.

After the old man died the kitten found herself wandering again, wondering what would happen to her, she came to Nanthalion by chance really meeting Tsuneko not long after, he claimed her as his upon their second meeting, she found herself enthralled with the male never having seen another of her kind before he was a commodity to her, one that taught her the basics of what a slave really did when with a competent master, while she learned quickly she found herself getting to close to the man, she was a slave, not a lover, she understood the difference quite well asking Neko to treat her more like a slave so she would never forget that difference. It wasn’t until Neko disappeared and she was taken from him by force by the slavers guild of the land that Aiesha learned the harshness of being a slave, dependant upon a master until one day you no longer have that protection, that care.

It was then that Aiesha joined the healers guild, reverting to her first masters profession as a way of solace, while never openly seeking a master she devoted herself to her new task, if she could not be a good salve she would be a good healer, therefore set her whole heart to the task. But as always happens someone found her, someone she could respect as the master she needed, firm but caring, Kagai` claimed her as his while allowing her to keep her current job, thinking it good that she have the extra skills needed to be truly usefull to him, she loves her new master, as she has loved all her masters, as a slave should love, ever obedient and respectful she has learned that when faced with impossibilities simply allowing another to control you you can eliminate the fear of life. A sad lesson to most but to this gentle kitten-wolf it all that keeps her alive.
