Legends of Belariath

Alari

Born the bastard daughter of a noble, far from here.

She was spoilt by her father in the one thing she wanted. To learn to fight with the men. She became quite good at it. In fact to a point that she was regularly beating other men in her fighting. She was then sent around to places to learn more skill soon becoming a rather good at fighting, both with weapons and in hand to hand.

In time she was given the opportunity to marry, despite her illigitimate birth, she was connected married to the son one of thier neibors and and ally in the troubled lands. Her husband, had beena childhood friend one she loved dearly. Time passed and she was still the wild child, free in her marriage to be herself.  As time passed events came into play, she was carrying a child the heir to her husbands lands & title.  Exciting this was and the future was filled with brightness.

Till one night, everything was destroyed. Her home, her fathers home, the life she carried ripped from her.

Thier enemy had found a way tocain assistance of dragon kin, to destroy the families and gain the lands.

He was victorious, and thought all dead.

Found, amongst the bodies littering the grounds of the burnt keep, Alari was taken and healed, hidden away from all that had happened.

As time passed and her anger turned to cold and calculating need for vengeance, her strength returned and husbands katana in hand, her sturdy warhorse, fortunately out of the stables as usual, moved on in search of strength and the right time to strike back.

In her travels she found her way to Nanthalion, a place so different from her home, or perhaps, just free in it's ways. Where other towns would hold those things behind doors this one was open in before ones eyes.

She found herself a room at the inn and began to watch this strange town. As time went, days and weeks passed till one drak sen, seemed to find her a target for his own personal pleasure weather she cared of not. For months she could not escape his advances, but forr thrice he took the life from her.

Only to have her awaken in the temple one amongst the formerly dead.

The third time, she awoke.. to blackness. Perhaps a punishement fromt eh gods for escaping death a third time and this time, but two days from the second.

She refused the healing, her punishment, was but a challenge.  Alari would overcome it. still be a fighter, a warrior, to work beyond this darkness to be strong and without worry of what she could not see.
