Amita Kepi was daughter to a Vulpani researcher by the name of Kal`xen Kepi and an unknown moriel woman; whom he had slept with and been forced to flee from with his child when his group of nomadic researchers left that camp to return to the desert. He wished to give her a good life rather than what would have been destined of her should she have been returned to the gloom.
She was raised by the nomadic scholars, men and women dedicated to gathering knowledge for fun and profit. Whether it was from ancient civilizations, ruins, necromancers or dragons (the adults anyway) braved dangers to accomplish their goals. They became a sort of extended family for the young half-blood and as they traveled the gathering always seemed to grow just a little larger.
Amita however never quite fit in perfectly with them. Banned from entering towns with them after several poor experiences (mostly involving violent outbursts on the part of the towns people and a few times because of her being a bit clumsy), banned from touching ancient tomes due to a tendency of them to fall apart when she would sneeze or trip. None of this however was to say she was stupid though, she was one of the best of the students in terms of the basics of magic. She was talented with languages, and handling clients in general.
Eventually however after several decades of private education, learning whatever Kal had to offer on the ways of vulpine life, religion and culture as well as the basics of magic Kal would find himself out voted for the first time ever. The group decided that it was time for Amita to depart, her need to use their knowledge and her accidents were becoming too much. They still offered to allow her a portal that would take her anywhere she wished to go. After enough time and effort looking over the information she had about various current societies, she picked her future home, a place she could gather knowledge & use it as she saw fit. She decided her new home as an adult would be Nanthalion.
