Legends of Belariath

Corvin

Corvin hails from a city in the far northwest where once he was an heir to a merchant house that had the city firmly in it's capitalist grip.

A bored dilletente Corvin turned his hand to thievery for the thrill of it, spending his time stealing greater and greater prizes and putting himself about town, seducing and carousing.

One day a great holy gem was brought to the city and Corvin couldn't resist the challenge. The only way into the display was with a single key and only the captain of the guard had that key. Corvin seduced his wife, using the opportunity to get into the captains house and procure the key which he promptly used to steal the gem.

Unfortunately the captains wife, long ignored by her husband, had fallen hard for Corvin and managed to track him down. Her husband wasn't too far behind.

In the fight and fire that followed the merchant house was destroyed and Corvin had to flee for his life, the only remnant of his great fortune a single silver coin.

HEartbroken and resentful he wandered the land until he happened across the inn, where initially the presence of a certain dancer persuaded him to stay a while.

He still resents his loss and hurls himself into drink and sex to try to forget, sometimes this comes out in cruelty. Most often though he is happy, go lucky, enjoying life but always looking for a way to regain what he has lost...
