Legends of Belariath

Feff

Not too long ago a very uniquely furred pup was born to a vulpine family. Not only was he born to the prominant Skybreaker family but he already had the beginings of two tails, and was the color of the clouds and the morning sky. The young pup was given the name Feff, a simple but powerful name. Most of his village consisted of vulpine having usually blond or wheat colored fur with brown or autumn red accents, only the great masters of the elements gained coloration of there prime disciplin, as with the Skybreakers the masters had usually white or sky blue color either in addition to or replacing there normal fur. For a mere pup to bare the color of the clouds and the sun was something significant to them. From the time he could speak he was immediately put into the training of becoming a great mage, and teaching him the ways of enlightenment.

For most of his child hood he was bored, all of his time was spent learning of his ancestors, the ways of magic and where it comes from, how it permiates the beings that can weild it, and of the difficulties of properly controlling it. The young pup was inducted into few martial training indoctrens, focusing mainly on the vulpine's mind and spirit. Feff learned quickly that his parents, and his clan were looking to him for something he did not yet grasp, something he did not understand but knew he was, from what his teachers said, destined for something great. Saddly most of his childhood was wracked with being shunned by most other young vulpine, simply because of his fur and supposed purpose, in addition to his family's power and influence of the clan and village. Feff had quickly learned to stick to his studies, since most others would rather feed him cruel remarks and a distained neglect.

As the young vulpine grew out of childhood his mind changed, shifting gears to a much wider range of thoughts and dealings. He began searching for things to occupy his time since he seemed to bother the elders with his constant questions of the world. At some point he was put into the strict teachings of a vulpine blade master, simply to teach him true disciplin and to keep him out of the other teacher's hair for some time, in turn he learned focus and strength, yet never took up a blade. While in this age between childhood and young adulthood he began to gain intrests of the natural sorts, paying more attention to the females of his clan. Saddly many of the females kept him at arms distance, firstly because of his status and secondly they beleived him too flighty in his thoughts, always talking of other places, which many did only when they neared the age to leave the clan for there enlightenment.

It was when he became a true young adult, about sixteen in human years he began true training under an Aeromancer's watchful eye. It was within the first few minutes of meeting his new teacher that he learned of real pain, and of listening to those that know better. He stood too close to the target zone of a rather powerful spell, the spell that gives his family there name, Skybreaker. The master Aeromancer Feff was learning from shook his head for only a moment, knowing that the young mage would not listen to the warnings, and so he gave him his first lesson towards enlightenment, learn by first hand. The master ushered forward the mighty spell towards a granite slab, as the clouds split and the stroke of lightning came down, a massive blue and white bolt of power, it shattered the granite slab, and blasted Feff with shards and slivers of stone. Feff was denied the magical healing and had learned of the feeling of having stone fragments removed from the body, and of listening to masters and teachers. It was only a year after this experience that he left the clan to begin his journy for enlightenment through experience.

Feff travelled for nearly a year, choosing to not stay on his home continent and enstead learn from the world. After crossing a sea and arriving on a new body of land he made his way across, through the lands to the secluded Lonely Inn, and since arriving has found many people, of the varying cultures, beleifs, and customs, this was the place he was looking for, a place with nearly all people of all types.
