A deep rumble ensued as the dragon stirred from his dreams. The dragon dreamed about what it would be like to be almost human. A midnight Drak Sen was created that night, only to be cast out and taught if he returned. The Drak Sen followed his instructs by traveling and surviving. Sometimes his traveling was by choice, other time because of villagers. He always wondered why he had four wings and a tail, but was unable to find out.

When he started to resign into the routine, he felt a great tugging at his inner being. He sensed something like him but greater. Heading towards it the land seemed to get wild around him until he had to fight just to keep a mouthful of food from the animals. The great tugging sensation felt close and he realized for days now he had not fought an animals. A cave was up ahead. Large and glooming he thought at the time. Entering timidly he saw the sight of a like-colored dragon it bewildered him. The dragon woke and spoke words that awakened the Drak Sen’s mind.

Being taught by the dragon was a great experience; he learned the lyre, compassion and the song of the crowd as the wise dragon called it. Years seemed to pass when he spent time with the dragon thought neither really cared about time the Drak Sen long ago stopped aging. He started to feel the urge to travel. The dragon reluctantly let him go but gave him three gifts, A scale from the dragon, the lyre he now carries. The last thing the dragon gave him he treasures the most, the experience of flying. His remember closing his eyes and spreading his wings as he sat on the dragons back it almost felt like he was doing the work himself. The only unkind thing the dragon did was taught him a song that used the magic of the lyre and dragons to make them both forget about each other.

He traveled on suddenly frightened by the dragon. In his traveled his used the skills he had learned from the dragon but not questioning his good fortune thought nothing of it. He heard of an enchanted land called Belariath. He hoped to be able to remember his lost years, as he called them.
