Legends of Belariath

Merrshan

Born as the second son of the local priestess of shaera, it was clear that Merrshan would become a cleric or healer. But merrshan soon felt the disdain of the people for his appearance. He retreated in solitude preferring weapon training and long flights over the surrounding land over his studies

Then on one of these flights he saw the most beautiful creature he could imagine. A woman with an elegant body, creamy white skin, golden hair and pure white wings was bathing in a secluded glade. Merrshan was completely lovestruck forgetting his people's hate against "Feather-wings" including the swanmay.

The chriot then started to seduce Aleanda (The bathing swanmay). The first week he only observed. Then poems and flowers were placed anonymously at the glade.

And then the chirot decided to present himself. He concealed his wings under a wide cloak and his face under a mask. In this attire Merrshan approached Aleanda cautiously.

And then it happened. Exactly the moment he presented himself, the strap of his mask broke and Aleanda saw his disfigured face. Then something unbelieveable happened. Without any further word the swanmay fell around the chriots neck and kissed him deeply. In the same speechless manner they fell into the grass and made passionate love. The next weeks they met daily and each time they said no word; they only had sex.

But these acts didn't went unnoticed. Merrshans sibling secretly observed these rendezvous and told his mother. So the next evening when Merrshan returned from his trip he found himself ostracized by his family, his hometown, the whole society. He fled to the secret glade to meet Aleanda... and found her in the arms of a terribly scarred goblin. Realizing that the swanmay never loved him but only his ugliness Merrshan fell into blind white rage.

He drew his sword and decapitated the goblin with one stroke. Then he turned to Aleanda and raped her in angry brutality. When the rage subsided Merrshan realized his deed and he fled towards Nanthalion to start a new life
