Legends of Belariath

Naomh

"Mm? Me? Well ain't much to really say, darlin'. My mother died givin' birth to me and ain't no one who knew who my father was so some friends of my mother took me in and raised me as one of their own. There I grew up on their farm, learnin' how to tend to the land and the beasties. Everythin' was happy and content and all that.

Then one day a buncha slavers came, they came in and captured as much as my family as they could and killed those they couldn't. While they was takin' us to who knows where, I got lucky and was able to sneak out and escape. Never forgettin' about the second family I lost and swearin' I'd free them some day, I went and learned how to become a great warrior and- Pffftthahahahah! Oh ya should've seen the look on your face, hun.

That slaver part ain't true none, though it fits in nicely with the rest, don't it? I was adopted into a human family when my mother died right after givin' birth. Thinkin' she might'a called in a favour with the father as I did have a half-brother there as well... Eh, ain't my place to guess or judge none. Growin' up on the farm was a nice, comfy simple life. The man who took me in also taught me a bit of woodworkin' and his wife had a hankerin' to see if she couldn't keep her only 'daughter' outta trouble. I don't know how many gray hairs I gave the poor woman over the years.

I gotta tell ya, with six older brothers, a girl's gotta learn how to be a bit rough and tumble herself if she wanted to keep up any, and boy howdy did I give all of them a run for their money at least once growin' up. Yeah... good days, that.

Now don't worry none, nothin' too horrible happened, last I heard family's all still together and gettin' by, but we did have to move on out when the land went bad. Not really sure what happened but one day the earth shook, thought the house was gonna fall apart on us all but it held, then ever since then the water tasted bad and we couldn't grow nothin'. Once it came clear things weren't gettin' any better and we started gettin' sick ourselves, we decided it was high time to pack up and leave.

Now, for a while I had an itch to go out and set off on my own, they were all really good people and I loved livin' there and all, but just... didn't feel right, ya know? Anyway, figured then's as good of a chance to do so as any, so I took what coin I saved up and went off in search for a town a bard I knew (dirty bastard he was) told me about. Nanthalion it was called. Figured if half as many... interestin' people go through there as he claimed, it was the place to be! Might even get the chance to meet my real father there, though I wouldn't even guess on what he looked like. Good chance he's dead as well anyway...

Well I guess there was a bit to say about myself after all then, eh? Heh, didn't mean to bore ya none darlin'. Now that we've gone introduced each other, how about we go get to know each other better, mm?" *Smiles and pulls close*
