Legends of Belariath

Sabella

Sabella’s past was full of warmth and memories... though not many of them as she was orphaned younger then she should have been but she had at one time so many brothers and sisters. Five of them at one time but the small kitten had lost everything in the raid of their small village. Being the youngest her mother had stuck her away to keep her safe and gone off to try and save her brothers and sisters and failed. The small kitten climbed out of her hiding spot to find her entire family dead, never really knowing her true enemy. The small kitten ran from the village and was soon picked up by human gypsies that took her in, on unparticular that collared her, teaching her to dance for her food and bed. She didn’t mind this much, having warmth and food as long as she preformed well. On the nights that she didn’t make much though her master would beat her in anger and frustration. It was one night that she had come home from working; a small bag of coins hidden away to find the camp that her master was in was going up in flames. She was stunned, and once again upon her own, the collar about her throat useless and tossed away again. It was about this time that she stumbled upon Nanthalion.

This is where the little kitten’s story gets interesting and where she finds herself a wolven. One that collared her, and she taught Lucien Valdres to love. She had never known it before either but her heart leapt at every touch and word from her new master. The only thing she hated about it all was his need to sate himself upon others. Many fights it would be between the two on his need to do so when she was so willing. Hearts broken and eventually ending with the small kitten uncollared and tossed aside. She spent a year on her own, not leaving the forests much and keeping little company. Her heart still lay with that silly wolven that was scared of his own emotions.

A fateful day, a silly auction in the inn and the small kitten heard Lucien’s name mentioned in an auction that would let him be the winners Master for a day. Her heart leaped, did she truly dare to relive that time one more day and so the small kitten bid upon the wolven, winning him for a day and went to face the wraith of her master.

The time spent together reminded both of them where they belonged but he had since then taken another slave and kept others in the cave he chose to remain in. Her heart broken once again Sabe planned on disappearing once again from his life but the wolven was unwilling to let her go this time. He demanded her collaring again to keep her at his side but the small kitten refused to watch him be around others as well. In an agreement, and Sabe’s demands the wolven bought her a home of her own in agreement she wore his collar and remained his only.

To this day, you can find Sabella fixing her home up, filling it with everything she needed and on those days that Lucien chose to spend with her there on the small land with their memorable willow tree you could find the kitten smiling and if you were lucky dancing.
