Legends of Belariath

Senkira

As all drak sen are created from the dreams of the dragon so to was Senkira. However the dream she was spawned from was a particular disturbing one. In the dream that created her the world was in chaos and the people where dying of starvation disease, and war. A great warlord had overtaken the entire known world and nobody would challenge him. His strength unmatched even if one could get close enough to take an attempt on the warlord’s life. The weak were enslaved or killed and even the strong were either killed or made part of the warlord’s unstoppable army. The dragons had been destroyed and nobody was left to protect the earth. The sky was washed over with black clouds that lasted days upon days upon days. And with that Final vision of black clouds rolling over the horizon, in her nightmare the last dragon was slain by one of the warlords hunting parties.

In her youth the young drak sen was quiet despite the fact that she had been found by a clan of her own kind, a clan of all drak sen known as the black sword. The clan whole goal and focus was to defend the dragons when the elders heard from the young drak sen of her nightmare they knew that she would be a perfect pupil to learn the ways of the black sword. To most it would seem that a clan of all drak sen would be a somewhat radical group with only the points of view of dreamed ones. But the three great elders of the clan had long ago learned that the key to preventing the destruction of the very world they knew was to step in when needed and balance good with evil. And so every member of the Black Sword is taught to walk a fine line of strength between the two extremes even before they are allowed to pick up a sword.

Senkira was in fact one of the greatest challenges to that philosophy. Having to relive the nightmare with the passing of each new moon, the elders of her clan often found her stubborn and aggressive in her hatred of all radical view points. But she eventually learned and eventually accepted the teachings of her clan.

She knew that nothing would stop her from fulfilling her destiny as a protector of the dragons and a protector of both good and evil. A concept which few could probably understand but the young drak sen could certainly understand in her mind.

So she had finally passed the approval of the elders of her clan and was sworn into the knighthood of her clan. She was given two thing as she stood before the elders and professed her oath the oath of the clan. She was given a long sword enameled black, with three curving interweaving lines, one grey, one red, one shiny black to contrast with the powder black finish of the blade itself. Up the hilt was the symbol of her clan. she was also given a shield with the same powder black color and the crest of her clan in full color upon the front

After being given her status by her clan she has decided that it is time to set out on her own making her way from town to town she has finally settled on the town of Nanthalion having heard many stories of the fighters and warriors around the town she figured here would be the place where she might be able to find a teacher. She has even tried out something knew and has decided to get a job working at the weapons shop polishing blades and selling them to the many warriors throughout town.

Despite her recent success here in town this place hasn’t come without its drawbacks and setbacks to her goals. She was recently attacked on the street and forced into a merchant collar of one of the slavers in town. Known as Viktor Corsairris. But of course the young drak sen isn’t worried she knows she will find her way out of the collar one way or another. Destiny has predetermined she isn’t going to a be a slave. It has told her long ago that she is to be a knight in the services of protecting the dragons and the world. She is not one to think that her actions alone can avert a catastrophe foreseen in her dreams but. Her actions combined with the actions of her clan could very well do just that.
