Legends of Belariath

Sheba

Born the daughter of slaves, sheba was raised a slave. Her childhood was spent watching and steadying how the slave acted and reacted to the master himself and others as well. The camp where she was born and raised was not well kept and alot of the ones born there died before their first birthday. Shebas parents made sure she ate well but saving parts of their own meals for her to eat late at night. She was kept warm in the winter by her parents giving her their blankets. So while other babied died she thrived and grew. She learned the ways well and since she had known no other life she was happy. She had no idea what lay ahead for her and her parent did their best to make sure she didnt. She was never trained for the sexually in of slavery because before she became of age her parent made the heart breaking decision to get her out and sent her away out of love for her. Alone, lost and confused she wondered about the land in search of someone or something to help her learn this totally new way of live. SHe didnt understand why her parents had made her leave and she cried herself to sleep many a night wondering what she had done so wrong. She learned this new way of life as she had learned everything else in her life quickly. She soon learned how to get food and clothing and never be seen. She became a thief in the night and took what she needed to live. For months she talked to noone and stay clear of contact with anyone. Then one day she looked upon the doors of the Lonely Inn. THe smell of fresh cooked meat and the promise of warmth over rode her fear and she entered. It didnt take long for the one who would become her Master to spot her and take her home. He was kind and gentle and she trusted him almost at once. He carefully removed the wire collar that had embedded into her flesh from around her throat and soon replaced it with his own fur lined collar. Now she lives happy and content under Adarans collar and she is once again at peace.
