Legends of Belariath

Tehya

Her background is simple; she was brought up near a farming village close to the forest. Initially she was taught to sew by her mother, wool was brought in to be weaved, and her family worked with the nearby farmers and in exchange for the wool fabric they were given food.

She roamed the forest never being able to stay inside their cabin too long, and had a natural love for the pines in particular. Usually at night when the work was finished, a slender lass with blonde hair would be seen in the pines wandering around in the moonlight.

Her skill in sewing and weaving was rewarded with her own loom in the palace. After rigorous studies and performing at the Inn meeting Nicholas and Ryo, her performances were daily usually including both of them.

She enjoys making her own clothes rather than buying them and would share sewing tasks with anyone who enjoyed doing the same, or could follow her patterns.

One dream at a time, she followed the teachings of the bard Nicholas Shade until he proclaimed her his equal and they became fast friends.

The Sylvan elf writes mystical songs, stories, and sings and dances for anyone who will watch and enjoy her arts.

On her alone time she spent many hours in the library studying in Unigo, when not interrupted by the charming men that seem to catch her attention.

She was a timid elf when first arriving and met a man named Corvin who befriended her. She was not at all his type, but they oddly became attracted to each other, and she shared her words and dreams with him.

One day he presented to her a small candle and tin, and they both made a wish sending the small boats down the stream. He told her that if they returned or were found by another their dream would come true.

She had a simple dream at that time and still to this day. Meeting; a studious high elf named Solonus they spent many nights in between learning what passion meant, studying, and he taught her what her r own sexual needs were. She knew he wasn't the dream she waited for, and the tin ship hadn't returned.

That was a playful time for them, she would spend her own time in her cabin in the woods, and Solonus had a room in the inn where she spent nights with him.

It came a time when she wanted to explore more, and be free in the forest which she felt part of.
She bid Solonus a goodbye, and one night met another elf named Layne who asked her to write a song for the Winter Ball, which she did gladly; eager to share it with the people there.

The song was written in the small cabin, where she had the door opened so any creature might come in to join her by the warmth of the fire. Layne tricked her and she wound up hosting the ball in his disappearance.

A contest required a unique costume, and she spent many nights looking over her materials stored in a box in the cabin. Those materials still remain for she came up with a unique idea.

Finding some soft silver thread she decided to bind her body making unique knots that would fall open with a pull of her fingers. The silver thread was spun through silver pine branches and she created a body suit to perform in, covering delicate areas of her body with the soft pines.

Her breasts had the pines softly layered over her, and just a covering over her body. Her dance was erotic and in between lyrics she peeled a bit of the pines off a little at a time. After the initial pull of the knot of her bodysuit her smooth skin was seen in all its glory except for her nipples and sex. Tehya never performs naked.

The ball proved exciting for her, people actually listened to her song, and she was attracted to a man masked as a swan named Barador, a savage in disguise. He appeared at the ball and disappeared before she performed, but this idle thought seemed to be growing in her mind... to go and find the man behind the mask. Her song was asked to be archived, and she agreed readily, the stimulation of people enjoying this song made her begin writing again.

She had two teachers Barador and Nicholas, one of magic, one of her bard skills.

Barador asked her to take a room across from his in Unigo, and many nights she was found sitting at a desk trying to mend ashes back into a rare rune on paper. Perhaps that was just a test he gave her, but she was asked to meld the ashes back on paper with the runic symbols once written on it. It occupied her for hours until she set them aside to retrieve an item for the emperor.

A new development; Tehya's was asked to be Lord Ryo's personal bard. There was a deep bonding between the two, and a memory of a dance in the woods long ago when they met with Gwendya who gave them both a stone in the shape of a wolf which she wears often hanging from a simple leather strand around her neck.

Lord Ryo kindly provided a room in his tower for her, where she would jest and tease his slave which room was larger. Kas and Tehya became friends after Lord Ryo left them in the tower alone, and she listened to a story of his life.

With great honor she was presented a mithril bracelet with Lord Ryo's crest on it which is a white shield with a black hawk over the top of a silver R.

Wanting to use her bard skills in honor of the Emperor, her associate Nicholas Shade gave her a project requested by the Emperor himself.

She was a light sleeper but one morning found the Emperor had left her a pin in her cabin on her desk with a note requesting her to be the Journal Keeper. What magic did that man have, for she never woke not even with the screaming whine of hinges on her door.

She holds the leather bound book, "Bard's Memory of Emperor'. She will record events from the 24th year of Stormbringer's empire in his journal.

Soon after; the Emperor provided her with a small room in the palace, and a magical mirror so she could relive and write of the events of the world.

In a turn of events; and the missing Nicholas Shade, she was chosen as the Imperial Bard by the Emperor, and given another more glamorous pin of sparkling emeralds and his crest. The silver pin shaped as a dragon's head has eyes of emeralds and two tiny chains hang in half-moons beneath it and a lightning bolt of silver. It is the house emblem of the Emperor Stormbringer.

Tehya is now the Imperial Palace Bard and Journal Keeper, and was given a room across from the Emperors on the upstairs floor. What goes on behind closed doors never comes from the usual talkative bard.

Massive amounts of books are borrowed from the library where she secretly studies the weather changes, never telling why.

Her room has two large windows and the feeling of being trapped inside never lures her away, since the comfort of feeling nature and the sun, keeps her tendencies of escaping from the palace at bay.

On the 28th year; the Emperor gave her a mithril anklet with sapphires for Midwinter, choosing blue to match her eyes. A cherished gift she wears all the time.

Tehya still awaits that tin ship to return, she found one similar to it adorned in black crow feathers on Midwinter day, but not the small tin ship set a sail in the stream... that ship she still awaits to return.
