carries a cutlass sword, 2 daggers (1 in each boot), and 2 belaying pins in her belt (used as clubs or thrown)wears leather armor and sometimes uses a buckler shield

a somber faced woman with a weathered look about her, as someone who has lived most of their life at sea; she always dresses in pants and tunic of forest colors, with a cutlass on her hip; one look in her eyes tell you she has no patience for stupidity or flightyness.

being a pirate, “good and evil” are never part of the equation in her mind. she only concerns herself with “necessary and effective”.

altho her ships still fly the 'jolly roger', they also fly a small Imperial pennant below it.

her background:

From a distance the first thing you notice is her walk. Her body sways from side to side with every step, each foot reaching out, almost as if it expects the floor to rise slightly to meet it. Inland they call it a 'duck waddle', in port cities it's a 'sailor's strut'. Physically fit, back straight, shoulders back, in military posture, an air of determination comes with her. Unhesitating, as one long used to making decisions, she strides forward purposefully.

You recognize, it would not be wise to get in her way.

As she draws closer your attention may flicker briefly across her figure, but the eyes draw your attention; and the scar. The skin of her hands and face have a leathery look to them, as one who has lived exposed to the elements. The corners of her eyes are lined with crow's feet from years of squinting thru the glare of sun on sea. She may have been a beauty once, many seasons ago, but wind, rain, freezing cold, searing heat and salt spray have all left their marks; and the scar.

The eyes are grey as steel and just as unforgiving. They show no trace of mercy, neither given nor asked. No trace of confusion or hesitation. If a shark could take the form of a woman, it would have her eyes. Eyes that seldom flash in anger, but are all the more deadly for being always in control. No doubt she could wither flowers with but a glance if she chose. Or curdle the milk in your coffee.

A lucky few have seen them twinkle with merriment, but never for long.

Some would call her “a handsome woman” now, a term reserved for those approaching middle age, except perhaps for the scar. It circles her neck, the flesh rough, more pinkish in color than anywhere else visible. It speaks volumes. This woman would not die easily, she would never go gentle into that good night. Somewhere in her past; lord only knows how she survived it; she was hanged.

As she passes close alongside, you catch a whiff of her hair. While some smell of scented oils and soaps, exotic perfumes from distant lands. Her aroma is distinct, different, instantly identifiable; salt air. There is no question in your mind, you know who she is now; “The Emperor's Pirate” some call her, “Countess of the Western Sea” is her title, and Xevious Kalamari is her name.

She stands 5' 8" tall, 128 pounds, but with an attitude appropriate for one 3 times her size. Her armor (when she wears any) is made of leather. Around her waist a simple brown leather belt holds her sword. A wide bladed, slightly curved weapon, a cutlass. In the belt are stuffed two wooden pins used for securing ropes (belaying pins). Dagger handles protrude from the top of each boot. A small buckler shield is sometimes slung over her shoulder. It carries the symbol of Emperor StormBringer of Belariath, her liege.

While she may often be seen unarmored, she is never without the cutlass, daggers and belay pins. Though none in Nanthalion have yet tasted the edge of that cutlass, some of the more obnoxious have felt the flat of the blade (or the knobbed end of one of the pins), and her displeasure, for interferring with her relaxation at the Inn by brawling.

She is partial to grog or rum in large quantities.
