Stormbringer's Wedding to L`aquera

Upon Stormbringer taking L`aquera as his bonded companion, a number of subjects of the empire wished to show their loyalty by presenting gifts. In no special order they are detailed here for posterity:

Note that the wedding is commemorated by a public holiday each Fireday of the Third Week of Wolfmoon (February 25). If anyone wishes the log of the event itself, send a PM to Stormbringer on the message board.

Tehya

A wedding gift of bed sheets, that she had hand stitched and monogrammed for a wedding gift. The stitching was tiny and precise and there was an embroidered crest on the pillow cases. With a playful smile on those blue lips she told them, “Some say these are flame proof, I do not know.” They were a vivid fire red with gold embroidery along the edges.

Garisson

"I bring you little in respect of a gift being able to be wrapped in a bow. Although I bring a gift which is worth its own weight as an oath. May my sword and arms be at your disposal. My shield and armor be as strong as your castle. As long as blood flow in my veins. My pledge of duty will forever remain."

Stormbringer’s Throne

Stormbringer’s Throne

The throne is made of rich, dark mahogany wood with a high back and exquisitely detailed carvings. At the top of its back is a carved scene depicting high peaked mountains. A large dragon with outstretched wings perches atop the central one. When he sits on the throne, it appears that the dragon curls about the Emperor's head, staring fiercely downwards with its piercing emerald eyes toward those who come for an Imperial audience. (These are actual jewels – emeralds of exceptional quality) Sculpted dragons’ heads scowl from the arms, both front and back. The seat is wide and upholstered in soft black leather. The legs are massive and end in 3-toed dragon’s claws – each holding a ball in their clutches. One of arms of this beautifully detailed chair has a section carved out to make a hidden compartment, big enough for our Emperor to hide a dagger, or something he deems none to see. On the underside of the seat is the craftsperson/artist signature - Shivva

Halfmoon

A black leather paddle for Stormbringer. A reverse image of the Imperial Crest is nicely embossed upon one side so that when used it will leave the Emperor's distinctive crest. And there is a pair of black leather riding pants, like chaps only tighter, for L'aquera. When worn they will leave her bottom deliciously exposed to the Emperor's attention.

Ehlanna

Ehlanna's Gift of Sexy Clothing

A pair of nice quality leather tankards, enscribed "Sir" and "Miss".

Allisa

"I offer my congratualtions, Dread Lord, upon your beautiful wedding. I am but a poor dancer and singer of songs, and have no object to offer that might suit such a glorious couple or palace. Therefore I humbly offer my body and talents for your enjoyment, in dance, song, story or any service you find pleasing. If I may please you, it will be my honor to serve."

Kuromaku

The Frame is of hard wood, solid and thick in an octagonal shape. Polished steel fittings at both the inside and outside of each corner lend stretgth and act as anchor points for a series of steel rings, one at the outside and one inside each corner. The frame has been laquered a solid black, with pieces of shimmering mithril wire inaid into a spiderweb pattern over the entire frame and the small wooden 'box' at the base, from which comes a black wood-and-iron wheel. The frame is supported at the bottom by a wrought-iron base for stability as it is stood upright for use.

Holes are drilled through the wooden frame, tope to bottom, about ten per side of the octagon. Once a victim is placed inside the frame, like standing in a doorway, spidersilk cords are strung through the frame, through those holes on the outside and across the victim's body. The cords may be wound around the victim's body or hooked through the rings on the inner part of the frame.

The cords all have small iron 'pegs' at the ends which 'snap' into place in little divots set on edges of the holes in the frame. This prevents them from being pulled free of the frame prematurely. The other end of each cord goes outside the frame eventually, and is guided by the outer rings of the frame down to the base, where there is a larger steel ring. This ring gathers all the cords tgether and guides them to an opening in the 'box' containing the wheel mechanism. Inside, accessible by a hinge on the top, the box holds a sturdy iron-ribbed wood axle, with holes drilled in for the cords to thread through just like in the frame.

Once all the cords are set, the user may simply turn the wheel, which spins the axle, and draws the spidersilk cords tighter and tighter through the frame, catching up the victim in whatever pattern was chosen by the user. Very much like the Cat's Cradle game played with string between one's fingers. The Spidersilk is very strong and slightly elastic, so as no to cause undue harm. However, the Kirvan Web also comes with a single extremely long string of Mithril wire. It can be wound around and around through the frame and attached to the wheel's axle in much the same way as the spidersilk. But being stronger and much thinner, the wire can actually cut into the skin if tightened enough.

"And is better..." Kuro remarks, showing off the coiled mithril wire. "This string gots spells... One Chill Touch, and One Shocking Grasp." The troll pats the wooden frame gently, almost lovingly. "And whole thing has got Magics, so it not can be burned if L`aquera has fire-gasm when is inside."
