*a parchment notice has recently been posted on the temple grounds*

Esel Da Corci, High Priestess of Syune, has announced plans to inspect the Temple of the Emperor this coming month. Given the nature of this visit, the Viceroy of St. Eva requests the hiring of additional guards to ensure the safety of all involves. He also stresses that any further interference with building the temple and/or any physical attack upon temple staff, be they directly ordered from a noble house or otherwise, will be considered as an attack upon his own directorate, and will thus respond in force against said aggressors."

*the parchment bears the seal of the viceroy himself*

That means she had to up the security against Belson.

He had already come to the almost completed temple, and beat the head guard unmercifully.

Whispered among the bards in their pretense of telling a story here and there the lure of a good sack of coin for Belson's life was offered by a devote worshiper of the temple and no name was given. They smiled when asked why, and said, "Not only is it a personal vendetta...he has attacked those guarding the temple and has said to hate who it represents."

People so greedy for money with winter soon approaching increases the dark figures seen infiltrating the forest.

Let the Hunt Begin!

Akantha frowned a bit as she slowly ready the parchment, and then again just to make sure she didn't miss anything. More guards. She'd hired a few a bit after taking up her new position as the manager of the employees, but definitely would need to hire more. Quickly she thought back to the debate, to Tehya's strange behavior for a bit near the beginning, to seeing Belson for the first time.

"Going to want at least two Temple guards present when the High Priestess visits." She'd mutter to herself as she starts mentally checking the roster. And with Belson still not captured, she knew she definitely needed to hire more guards as well.

And while she doesn't make as many patrols now, she did notice shadows quickly moving by in the forest around the temple and a notice was put out for the guards:
"Be on guard, extra vigilant, keep distance to forest unless with another"

She had been planning to scout out Belson's property as well, perhaps can give the group or person going after him some advantage.

*At the knell of the New Year, parchments have been sent south from the Northern Marches, bearing the sigil of a dragon, wings outstretched, pierced by three arrows, the official seal of the Dragon Goddess Syune*

RESOLVED,

The Seven Cities of the Saraphan, in conjunction with Syune's High Priestess Esel Da Corci, has deemed evidence and testimony to the Illfarian Emperor Stormbringer's claim of God-Granted Divinity, in the spirit of AdenVer, to to be legitimate. Let it be known the Temple that bears His name has the blessing of the Dragon Goddess. Long may He reign and continue to shelter His people from harm.

Work took Tehya away from the temple, and the hunt for Belson of course. With events and celebrations it became a quiet time to work on the temple again, since it was planned to have a grand opening soon. Days upon days brought her to sit and sew the cushions for the fallen tree benches inside, and she needed to contact her main guard who she hadn't seen since Belson's attack.

With Sorgram gone and Morgan busy, she tended to overwork, as the needle pricked her finger and she spat out.

"Where is that bastard Belson ...now my guard is missing."

Then the stranger came into her tower and sat down whispering into her ear what he heard from Seven Cities of the Saraphan, and the Syune's High Priestess Esel Da Corci. It brought a slow smile to those blue lips, perhaps this was going to be believed by more than the followers that made this temple happen.

The afternoon sunlight always made the room a little too warm. That was the price of being at the top of a tower. The scent of wild flowers seemed unusually heavy today too, drifting in through the opened window. Tehya's head felt too heavy to support itself. It dipped over her desk and she roused herself. It dipped again...

The dream, when it came, seemed unusually vivid. She was walking through the site of her temple with Stormbringer. He was laughing but not in a derisory way. "All this work for me... I suppose a god would feel obliged to do somthing miraculous. Like arranging for that hillside to be taller and having a waterfall that fed a stream which went right through the middle. Of course, a god might also wonder how an earth mage might feel, cheated out of an opportunity to employ his craft, too. Such a deity might just prefer something more subtle. Like placing extra mehrials in the bank for the busy little bard to employ just such a mage."

The emperor's form seemed to grow less substantial to Tehya, drifting away like smoke she could never quite catch.

The feeling of warmth and the overpowering scent of wildflowers must be the reason she was so lethargic, or maybe it was one of those dreams she had. It was an effort to raise her head, but when she did her hands rubbed at those cornflower blue eyes.

It was as if someone put a spotlight on the scene. She appeared to be in the temple instead of her tower at the palace. Usually so graceful she rose up in such awe it took all her energy. There it was the temple, and the vivid image of a waterfall. How much more beautiful could the building be with what she was envisioning. There was no deceiving those elven ears when she heard his voice, and she turned to capture a vision of him.

Definitely not a dream and that longing to make this the most magnificent temple, made her immediately intend on finding a few earth mages. Manipulate a stream to go through the temple? Not even the best architect had presented that idea. But a god would Right?

There was a positive feeling and without even checking with the bank, Tehya was determined to hire as many earth mages as possible. Those cornflower blue eyes stared at the Emperor, and she was torn between falling to her knees in worship and just begging him to assure her she was right, he was a god.

Right?

No human Emperor before her. She was alone again and knew he had to be a god... disappearing like he did... he vaporized a little at a time.

It snowed early this year which made Tehya bundle up warmly, or was it just the stress of losing the other half of her, Sorgam. It was even colder in her demeanor, the colors she chose were a deep purple with that lovely multi-colored cloak she wore over her shoulders. Mates should never leave each other's side and she walked into the tree covered temple. The fireplaces burned and crackled reminding Tehya of her God's mate L`aquera.

Upon the bench by the altar she placed her gift of Thanks to Stormbringer and it was a small torch with a carving of his mate L'aquera held in his arms. She whispered in prayer, light this afire and let not a minute of love escape.

She felt lonely even in a crowd of people with her mate gone and she threw herself into work hoping to see him again. She pictured that carved torch set aflame when or if there was to be a ceremony of Stormbringer and L'aquera re-wed in this very temple. When Tehya dreamed she dreamed big.

But she was thankful; and that hand held torch showed hours of carving. Her God would sense her heart in this gift of "Thanks."
