Spiritine
"The Wayward Soul"

Type: Spiritual Companion
The Spiritine is a snake-like being. Its colours vary through pastels, varying on its mood. An angry Spiritine has been known to even be pink, while frightened ones are yellow. Usually they are gray or white in their docile states. They have tiny scales that give them a smooth feel and appearance, and slither across the air, floating and flying as opposed to on the ground. Some have beards and some have mustaches, all of which are clumped tendrils like antennae, used for sensing what the eyes cannot see. They have a frill about their neck as well, used for zeroing in on energies, usually of the spiritual manner. This frill matches the fin on its back and tail, both of which act as defense and offensive weaponry, as hard and as sharp as blades. If broken, unless healed, the fins can take weeks to grow back. Their eyes are always ranging through blue hues. Their tendrils also act as extensions at times, used to grip small items or branches for nestling, and it can carry only up to 5lbs in flight.
It is thought that Spiritine are formed of the wayward souls of children who passed before their time, usually through sickness or accident. They have a mischievous nature and are often curious and inquisitive, but very rarely do they let themselves be seen. Even rarer yet is one who will bond to a living being. They may partake in food, but they mostly feed on energy around, the daily lifes' energies given off everything from crawling ants to stationary rocks, and the mighty flying mephos and cities of bustling people. Though if one is starving and bites a Floating Disk, it has been thought to drain it all the quicker. They are fond of hunting small critters, like frogs, lizards, rodents and some have been known to go after dragonflies. Most often if with a person as their familiar, they will not float but instead be coiled around them or a staff.

Invisibility/Intangible - Able to range from transparent to intangible through spiritual connection. Cannot attack or carry items while in this form as they just pass through the physical realm. Can avoid physical attack, but not magical.
