Familiar Submission - Kurri
Type: Fae Creature

Description: The Kurri is a deer-like creature that more closely resembles a goat with its playful antics and strange eyes. They are unique in that they can change their size, weighing no more than 310lbs and no less than 10lbs, being no larger than 4ft and no smaller than an adult housecat, with the exception of being in the presence of who they are bound to thus able to be just a few inches large. Males have beards while females do not, although both have velvet-covered antlers with at most, four points. Kurri tend to have white fuzzy legs and chests, while their rears are coated in shimmery purple-hued blue-green scales with white speckled patterns similar to fawns. Kurri also have cloven hooves that come in a variety of colors, while their eyes are strangely metallic with squared, odd goat-pupils. They also bleat, prance and enjoy headbutting everything. Their favorite food however is algae, moss, dew-covered grass, flowers, and especially clover and fruits. Of course, Kurri happily gnaw clothing and tablecloths and other non-edibles too, especially shoes and boots!

Origin:
Kurri are known to spawn not in lush forests, but in barren areas where forests have had destruction wipe them out. It is rumored that Her sees fit to place them there to aid with Gaia's creatures returning and growth once more sprouting from the destruction in a cycle of natural renewal. Their mystical way of growing flowers behind their paths and creating lush greenery in their wake is said to be the Path to Renewal where nymphs and fae, even satyr are attracted to the strange trails of life that weave between otherwise desolate, barren areas of destruction. When lands once more spring to life, it is said Kurri find one another and form herds. Many a hunter have tried to hunt Kurri, on purpose or accidentally, but the result is always the same. Once a Kurri becomes trapped, it becomes so dismayed that it fades into non-existence, leaving behind an empty pit or snare, choosing to not exist rather than exist in servitude or 'domestication'.. and should a Kurri be shot by an arrow or otherwise hunted, no meat is to be had, for the same result occurs as the spirit of the Kurri returns to Her. This is why obtaining the Kurri for a familiar is so difficult, and unique. A Kurri must know they will not be tethered or otherwise face a life of being tied down, used or abused. They seem to be attracted to pacifistic free-thinkers and wild, willful souls.

Abilities
Diminution: The Kurri has the ability to change its size. In the wilds and on their own, they are limited to at most 4ft tall and 310lbs and no less than 10lbs and the size of an adult housecat. However, in the presence of their bound owner, they can shrink to a few mere inches tall and do the same to their host, often enjoying foresty fields of flowers together in this way.
Path of Renewal: Behind the Kurri, flowers tend to sprout and blossom, blooming to life no matter the season or terrain. Where they step, fertility bleeds into the land, so long as it is natural ground. The flowers tend to vary, but often match their moods, and last for as long as the Kurri is in the vicinity, and after that, they wither as weather and environment dictates.
Breath of Life: Upon withering plant or tiny seedling, the Kurri can share its life's breath. This results in the plant being cleansed of death or disease, the seedling growing rapidly, stronger than on its own. While it can help fruit trees and vines take root, it cannot help them to blossom and bloom, nor bare produce. But the Kurri can help them grow strong and ward off disease.
Glow Blooms: Kurri highly dislike darkness, and so one of their abilities is that flowers and mushrooms they can beckon in their wake also include certain species that glow. Such is reminiscent of those of the Gloom and underground caverns. Kurri dens are usually filled with them along with other shiny or light-giving glowy things they manage to find and steal, and fireflies attracted to the plants that grow there.

I have created this with my character Kurt Adam in mind.
