A curious event

Those within the tower might have heard some of the staff talking about the new ruler of the place. No one was giving much information away, almost as if they had been told not to say anything yet.

Regardless of the fact, there would be a missive left upon the desks of the Headmaster and the Assistant Headmaster,

To whom it may concern,

I seek an audience with the pair of you at the earliest convenience to deal with the rumors floating around the tower. If you could make yourselves available at the first chance and meet within the Assistant Head Masters Receiving Room, then I would take it as a sign of good faith from yourselves.

There was no signature upon the notes, and no one could remember, or would admit, to seeing anyone leave the notes within the Private Office of each of its recipients.
