An entire cloth-covered wicker basket of rolls sits on the table, as do two bottles of lemonade, one of them sitting across from her at the opposite side of the table. <more>
<+Callie`Volopa> She'd received word yesterday, through fairy mail, that a man named Thad wished to speak to her about a job here, and she'd responded by setting up an appointment for five minutes from now. Vulpines never discuss business without food in front of them, so Callie is taking the opportunity to get a bite to eat.

* +Thad he arrives at the metting and sits across from her, his heavy large frame towering even while sitting. " hello Ma'am." he offered bowing his head and horns to her swallowly so as not to hurt her.
<+Callie`Volopa> Callie looks up as she sees a minotaur approaching her; the two of them had indicated their physical appearances to one another in their correspondence, so she's not surprised when Thad sits down. "Vizhra," she says. [Vulpani: "Greetings"]. "You must be Thad. Please, have a potato roll and some lemonade; enjoy my hospitality. I'm Callie Volopa, Musha Villa of the Verlosi Tribe, and an assistant manager here."
* +Thad he nods and takes the offerings. " Thank you kindly ma'am." he eats politely. "I am Thad Thunderhoof.
<+Callie`Volopa> Callie nods her head lightly. "Would you care for a full meal?" she asks, as she pulls a folded-up sheet of paper and a pencil out of her inner tunic pocket. She wears a green tunic, white silken shirt, and brown pants; her feet are comfortably bare.
* +Thad he looked to her and nodded." i would love a full meal." he was dressed in leather pants, vambraces, his chest was bared. his horns and the silver resin in them where shined. " As i understand it you needed me for general labor.
<+Callie`Volopa> Callie uses her Telekinesis spell to float over a menu, and the magic places it right into Thad's left hand with experienced precision. "General labor's always needed around here... washing dishes, chopping wood for the fireplace, cleaning-- which would include mopping, sweeping, and wiping down the bar. Things of that nature."
<+Thad> I used to do such things back with my tribe when i was apprenticing in arms training." he looked over the menu " as for the meal a cut salad, cider, and rabbit if possible ma'am." he looked her over he liked the look of the woman.
<+Callie`Volopa> "You got it," Callie says, and she telekinetically returns the menu back to its place at the bar. She adds, "I have three water elementals working the kitchen right now, and I'm a master chef, so the quality of the food will be better than usual. Would you like your cider chilled, warm, room-temperature, what?"
<+Thad> Warm and spiced with clove,nutmag, and cinnanom if you can manage it.
<+Callie`Volopa> "Excellent," Callie says with a smile. "Vulpines always discuss business with food in front of them. The Lady brought us into the world to experience all of life's pleasures, and there are few pleasures greater than an excellent meal." Callie puts pencil to paper now. "OK, so... name, Thad. Race: Minotaur. Age?"
<+Thad> You mistress was wise. I am 23 now.
<+Callie`Volopa> Callie writes that down, and says, "You mentioned you apprenticed in arms training with your tribe. Any other relevant work experience?"
+Thad> I trained as a smith under my mother's Mentorship.
+Callie`Volopa> Callie nods, writing that down. "Good, hard work." One of Callie's elementals, shaped just like her except translucent-blue, sets Thad's mug of warm cider down in front of him and returns to the bar. "That'll no doubt come in handy here in Nanthalion."
+Thad smiles to her and the elemental. "Thank you kindly ma'am." he takes a sip of cider and sighs contently. "Just like home.
+Callie`Volopa> "I aim to please," Callie says. "Vulpines are also big on hospitality; The Lady demands such from Her followers. OK, so I'll put you down as a general laborer." She writes it down on her sheet of paper. "Congratulations, and welcome to The Lonely Inn, Thad."
* +Thad offers his hand to callie and smiles. " Thank you ma'am.
