I often sit upon a chair
staring into the night.
Stars above me glimmer there,
with the twinkle of their light.
And wonder I the things that linger,
what lie between their solitude.
These are the things I brood;
that which I cannot put my finger
for the thronging of the multitude,
and the dimness of the light.
