Questions on Nixie Rules

Postby Elyon on Fri Mar 31, 2017 12:00 am

A normal L5 player gets an item enhanced by +1.

In addition you may either have a weapon or piece of armor that you currently own, or purchase at its normal price, magically enhanced by +1.

However, Nixie's can't use items.

Nixies and Pixies may not take a Warrior class, nor may they learn offensive spells. They may not wear any physical armor.

1. Does this mean Nixie's forfeit the magical enhancements at levels 5, 10, & 20?
2. I also noticed something weird in the rules.

First, the rules say a Nixie can be a Healer class.

Starter Classes: Ranger, Thief, Bard, Druid, Healer, Artisan, Entertainer, Laymen

However, if you read the Skills and Abilities section further down...

They cannot learn offensive spells, but may use any defensive spell in addition to out-of-battle spells. Nixies and Pixies may take any of the non-combat classes, except Healer.

It says Nixies can't be Healers.

Basically, yes you kinda lose out on the bonus enchantment, but pixie/nixie aren't meant to be a combat race in the first place as you can see by their disadvantages. Good catch on the healer thing though! Do not fret, they can totes be healers.

The website is off on it, true. Dev caught it when we revised the race.
I don't know if the website is still broken, or if Ehlanna was never made aware of the edit needed.
