I have a question about obtaining Level 30.

Level Thirty

You may:

Select a second class if you only have one
OR select to evolve a class into an Advanced Class if you don't already have one
OR select your first or second class again (including Advanced Class)

IMPORTANT: This is your LAST chance to add a second class or evolve a class to an Advanced Class if you have not already done so. You will NOT be offered the option again.

You are awarded the points for whichever class you chose, plus a further 30 points to customize your stats, plus 1,000Mhl. All classes gain one OOB spell and characters holding a magical class gain two extra magic slots free. Characters not holding a magical class get two extra equipment slots free.

My main concern is that magical characters get two extra magic slots free while non-magic characters get two extra equipment slots free.

SPELL SLOTS - Spell slots can be purchased from level five providing you have a suitable class of character. They cost one level point for one slot.

EQUIPMENT SLOTS - These can also be purchased from level five. They cost four level points for each slot.

Spell slots are worth only 1 point each, so magical characters get 2 points worth of slots.

However, equipment slots are worth 4 points each, so non-magical characters are getting 8 points worth of slots.

How is this right? It's as if all magical characters are being cheated out of 6 points.

Would it not be better to give magical characters the option of 8 free points as well instead of only giving them two?
For Example
* 8 free spell slots.
or
* 4 free spell slots & 1 free equipment slot.
or
* 2 free equipment slots.

This way magical characters aren't being cheated out of points and get the same point value reward at L10, L15, L20, L25, and L30 as non-magical characters.

To make a long story short, don't mistake the point cost for power. The spell slots are immensely more powerful than the equipment slots.
The free spell slots can be used to take high level spells for free that otherwise would cost in the thousands of Mhl.

Is it possible to purchase equipment slots for Mhl as well?

No, it's only spell slots that can be purchased (along with the spell)

If Equipment slots lack the equality to Spell Slots, then is there something else to compensate physical classes for the imbalance?

you get to put more points into stats that you fight with. Spend less money buying spells and spend a lot less stamina per attack despite still being able to get a good bonus modifier.

Not at the moment, no.
(Unless we count the temptation to blow the majority of one's lvl-up points on slots rather than stats. Waiting would eventually give you the slots you need for free, but patience is hard. You'll notice the majority of 'perks' listed are mainly a case of the warrior not having the option to spend too much money, too much stamina, or too many points on spells and thus being less likely to accidentally gimp themselves by failing to control themselves and be practical. )

However, the Dev team has been working on 'physical spheres' which were very promising during the last test round. I don't have any other information on this, sorry.
