Dynamic Property Listing

Please note that web pages have been added as follows:

List of all plots with owners

List of owners with which plots they own

List of Imperial properties

List of plots available to buy

Lists are dynamic so the web pages will automatically change to reflect the database entries.

I don't take any credit for this, that goes to Ehlanna and laerel. My only contribution has been to delay things by several months while the email sat hidden in my mailbox.

Fantastic!
As a long-time REB, I can say this will be a great help when assisting people who don't know what they want... which happens a lot!

The list of owned properties now also shows what improvements (buildings, terrain features etc) have been added to the basic plots of land.

Thanks to Ehlanna for the coding.

*hijacks slightly*
For those who prefer a visual representation, I've used Ehl's data page to represent property status on the PK maps in use by the REB here.

Very cool, the In-Town does not load the picture however :)

Yeah, a certain panty-stealing elf altered the dataset which corrupted the intown map (She added a test plot that isnt on the map). I've modified the page to accept strange panty-related data hiccups and throw a message at the bottom about the anomolies.

Ehl just loves throwing curveballs into my code to make me work harder ;P
and for the record, I've tweaked Ehl's giant, oversized..... CSS (well, the copy i snatched from the Bel site anyway), so that the popup boxes don't appear HUGE anymore.

Aiya, I guess I'm gonna have to repurchase Chymaera's home, because I don't see it on there anymore :o/
But very nice list ^_^

So it's been a few years (ok 7) since I had a crack at this, so i came back at it with some new techniques. This is the new version. (Requires Javascript)

There's still a few... panty-stealing-elf related eccentricities floating about that I know of:
Plots GQ, E37, and ITAH aren't in the REB listings at all.
The area around the Arena has no plot; it is assumed to be imperial owned.
Plot 8 is actually on the Greater Nanthalion map, rather than the in-town one. [Accounted for.]
Several plots can't decide if there should be a singular or plural for Hill, Mountain, and Forest. [Accounted for.]
Plot WQ has misspelled Seaside.
Plot ISLANDF has misspelled Mountain.
Plot VALB has misspelled Pavilion.
Plots YF and K2 have got their own ideas about what separates features (/ instead of ,) [Accounted for.]
Plot WO abandoned the structure for prices.
Plot ZK has a space between the acreage and the amount [Accounted for]; this plot also is not marked as Off Map, which is causing the overlay for Acreage in Greater Nanthalion to display incorrectly as it throws the maximum value off significantly.

If you spot anything else wrong, let me know!

Thank you for pointing out the inconsistencies in things.. if you find any more, please let me know and I'll get em sorted asap.

Plot 8 is actually on the Greater Nanthalion map, rather than the in-town one - This was before my time when the maps were first set up so no idea on this one as to why its there and played out in town.

Plot WQ has misspelled Seaside. - Can't see the misspelling in this one as its part of Des's database so it one is spelt wrong, then all others should be as well

Dealt with
The area around the Arena has no plot; it is assumed to be imperial owned. - To the best of my knowledge the arena and its grounds is plot 3, not just the arena, but surrounding areas as well, hence the whole plot being 3
    Plot ISLANDF has misspelled Mountain
Plots YF and K2 have got their own ideas about what separates features (/ instead of ,)
Plot WO abandoned the structure for prices
Plot ZK has a space between the acreage and the amount; this plot also is not marked as Off Map, which is causing the overlay for Acreage in Greater Nanthalion to display incorrectly as it throws the maximum value off significantly.
Several plots can't decide if there should be a singular or plural for Hill, Mountain, and Forest.
Plots GQ, E37, and ITAH aren't in the REB listings at all.
ITAH - Doesn't exist at all, its not shown on any maps. Plot AH on the intown map is actually plot AH out of town and can be seen on both in town and out of town maps.
      GQ Defined and set up
      E37 defined and set up

In Process
Plot VALB has misspelled Pavilion. - Think I'll need to talk to the panty stealing Elf on how to do this one, as its a command I don't have.

Many thanks Twerlinger!

Plot WQ has misspelled Seaside. - Can't see the misspelling in this one as its part of Des's database so it one is spelt wrong, then all others should be as well

My eyes see plot WQ's description as: Off Map North; 10 Acres - Hill, Forest, Cliffs, Seadside, Beach

So not sure there. It's probably a typo in the database's output, and it's the only plot i can see with a seaside.. (*pokes the panty stealing elf*)

The plot 8 thing is just a casualty of where the maps had to be bounded. For the purposes of this application I've shoved it onto the Out of Town (Greater Nanthalion) section. Don't think it'll ever be an issue, unless the Empire decides to put the ISA up for auction ;)

ITAH - Doesn't exist at all, its not shown on any maps. Plot AH on the intown map is actually plot AH out of town and can be seen on both in town and out of town maps.

There i must disagree. On the intown map, there is a building marked "ah" (Smithy), tucked into the corner of plot 5. This is different from the out of town plot AH.

Though if we're going to open the floodgates to inconsistencies: I may be misunderstanding the plot pricing system, but these plots don't seem to add up maths wise? [Filtered out: Any property that does not have an imp/land cost]
Code: Select all
plots.filter(function (d) { return d.price != d.impprice+d.landprice }).forEach(function (d) { console.log(d.plot+" "+d.price+" ["+d.impprice+"/"+d.landprice+"]") })

Nope.. WQ be my fault.. was looking at something else entirely for some strange reason

As for the pricing inconsistencies, that one is easy.. I'm currently redoing the plot pricing as its stated to fall in line with a command to make buybacks and refunds easier for staff to do, so until I've completed working through all of the plots and double checking them all, there are liable to be issues

AH - as its listed as smithy, I can only guess that it was the forge area for the bazaar/packden/Anvil's horn when it was in town. I'll give the panty stealing elf a poke over this
