Shop managers (who have the ability to send 'mass mails' to employees) will be glad to hear (or rtaher they had better be ...! :twisted: :D ) that URLs containg the & character will now be rendered correctly, so passign information about a MB post will now allow the link to be copied and used without problem.

Something I had been pondering a while, cemented by yet another little session of being "under Des's skirts" -
you may now:

/msg Desdaemona !voice

and, currently, get three responses which will say, in effect, one of the following:
You are not logged in
You are logged in and you are voiced in all the channels
You are logged in and are now voiced in all channels (and Des will voice you if not already voiced in a channel)

And whilst we are on the subject of mail ...

To list (with correct # numbers for read and delete) only new (unread) mails:

And, in case of screaming typo ...

/msg Desdaemona !mail recall

which will recall (i.e., delete) any mail sent by you in last 5 minutes which has not yet been read. Managers, yes this DOES also work on mass mails!

It's been awhile so ....

Desdaemona will now recognise if you quaff a perm stat potion and will up the appropriate stat for you:

[17:45] <Ehlanna> !itemuse +1 Permanent Agility Potion
[17:45] <Desdaemona> Ehlanna uses +1 Permanent Agility Potion
[17:45] <Desdaemona> and Ehlanna (Ehlanna) increases Agility by +1

If you take these potions and get the stat bonus say you get a rebuild down the line will you lose the stat bonus?

Minor tweak to the !list sub-commands

!list race <race name> will now list what, if any, Strength modfiers for the use of weapons and armour the specified <race name> gets.
!list strmod - a new sub-command that will list what races get strength modifiers, and what they are.

Slight tweak to the !spells, !stats and !equip commands.

If you leave off a name (or use 'me') and you are logged in, the command will default to using your logged-in character to show details for.

Small update ...

We now gave a card game playing function. Ok, well we have for a week or so, but it has been a little updated recently. The functions work in channel, and are discrete between channels - this a game could be run in each channel and s nick could be in one or more (or running one or more) of the games and their game status would not conflict with each other.

At the moment only two forms of game are 'supported' with one other as a work-in-progress. The working games are akin to Texas Hold 'em Poker and Blackjack. The WIP is akin to 5-card draw poker, but lacks the draw part!!!!

The basis of this is to start a game (defining the nicks to take part), then playing the rounds of the game. When all is done we end the game so someone else can run one later. Now, to the commands:

!game start <nick> [<nick> ...]
This starts up a game, the person entering the command is the 'controller'. This is available to everyone who is logged in. The nicks to specify (one or more, maximum of eight) need not be logged in.

!game deal

This hands out 5 cards to each player and is the draw poker work in progress. This is available to the controller of the game.

!game holdem

This doles out 2 cards to each player, plus 3 'face-up' in channel as 'the flop' and is how the Texas Hold 'em begins. This is available to the controller of the game.
!game turn

Deals another 'face-up' card in channel. This is available to the controller of the game.
!game river

Deals the final 'face-up' card in channel. This is available to the controller of the game.

!game blackjack

This deals two cards to each player, beginning a game of blackjack. This is available to the controller of the game.
!game hit

This gives another card to the person entering the command. This is available to any nick who is currently in a game of blackjack.

!game show

This shows ones hand in channel. If playing blackjack any cards gained via !game hit are shown surrounded by <..> to highleight them. This is available to anyone currently in a game.

!game display

This shows everyone's hand in channel and is available to the controller of the game.

!game shuffle

This forces a shuffle of the deck, which is normally done automatically at need. Can be done by the controller of the game.

!game end

This brings a game to and end, tidying things up and thus allowing someone else to run a game.
