my wrists are heavy this day
as my want to reach out
touch something that is not mine
far too great for me to resist
and did my boots stumble greatly
sending me to a doom
that have I foreseen coming for decades
yet was always able to force myself away

tears flow from my face now
every droplet a diamond lost in time
something which can never be mined
recovered in a way that befits my kind
only to be soaked in the snows
that look back at me in purity
sullied by my every step
another curse against my heart

breaking my very important rule
did I grasp for something forbidden
a want that has coiled inside me
forever and a day clawing its way out
until no longer could I take the screaming
that lay within my soul
so did I shatter my reservations
and go into the Belladonna
getting myself that sexy bodice
and the stockings of spidersilk to match
all this with the appraising gaze
of the moriel attendant hired
