*There are many reasons why someone uses the word "no." Some times it is a term of denial. Other times it could be an exclamation of shock. Quite often within Belariath is the word ignored, but normally in one of three instances. One could easily guess what those are, but such is not as important as what happens after a "no" is discounted for the favoured results... whatever those results might be.*

Ending Of Another Day When I Thought That
by Kalyani d'Moltsaghi, grandmother of legendary soothsayer Neelkamala D'aari

could I still hear his cries
the song of sorrow in his voice
every time the whip came down
striking upon the skin without
any thought of mercy or doubt
yet did the hand holding the lash
moved without thinking clearly
for the ungraceful man there
still in the stocks after two days
had never understood the meaning
of what his own victims sung out
every time they begged of him
to stop and let them go

could I still see his tears
only because of the anguish there
shoulders and back an image of pain
covered in strips of what used to be
silk and satin vest and shirt both
now worthless rags upon his flesh
soaking up the blood and sticking
all the while the forest around
lets echo the man's screaming "no"

without my presence this could be
handled and treated and dealt with
but did they want my eyes to bear
witness to his creative punishment
both when it started and at its end
which shall be sooner than I believed
yet far enough away for this bastard
shall I never expect the end of things
until is he released from his shackles
and booted into the plain alone

without the eyes of the shaman to see
what shall truly happen to this one
he that hunted down our women
as if they were wild game to be taken
selling them to slavers far and fast
never to be seen again by family or friend
is what the younger men even now
stroking themselves to greased hardness
hatred and lust in their bitter gaze
chanting slowly in ancient ritual
to this man shall they gladly give
something forever in heart to bemoan

A random thought flitted through my mind, so ...

Now my Lady L`aquera, we just need one more pose and that will be all - perhaps a follow-up session, maybe two, just to ensure all is well. So, if you'd care to change into that bunny outfit and ... *sniff, sniff* can you smell something burning ... oh ... oh ... noooOOOOOO!!!!

How did you get Greywind to pose in a dress?
