**Ye Wisher of Now**


They say each star contains a gift
A wish for you to make
But realize now this little wish
Is not for you to take

A star is not a wish to make
It's not a sign for you
Each star is but another's wish
As can be viewed by you

But do not cry, and do not fret
There are wishes to be made
So look to that wistful sky
Make wish of the highest grade

Each star is there to represent
As best and bright it can
The wishes made in all of time
Of every woman and man

So worry not, ye wisher of now
Give the world your dream
Be it true to heart or true to life
The stars know what you mean

Somewhere out there, as you wish
A star will newly gleam
And someday later on in time
By someone else it's seen

It's not their wish, it's yours alone
Your wish forever shine
For long as soul you have to show

The One Missing Wish

Gentu’s aged old hand reached out to hold the young elf’s. The wrinkles on his face was a map of the journeys and experiences he had in his life. She looked into his eyes that surely blurred her image, milky pupils of blue, but still he exuded a beauty of his own.

”My wise friend what can you tell me about life, what goals should I strive for.”

He smiled at Tehya, and yes even as blurred as his vision was he could see her breasts, and that lovely cleavage… age never took that away from him. The white sheet covered his body propped up in bed, and the sunlight beamed into the window showing off a world that offered most anything a person wanted.

“Are you asking me what in life you should wish for?”

“Yes, I have enough coin to live comfortably, and a good job that pays well. Granted I have an ornery Mephos, and a lovely elven horse, and Gladys the sheep, a mate most women would die for, and some say I am pretty, but what is left in life to lure me towards another goal. Surely there is one wish to ask of my god.”

When he smiled wrinkles moved his facial muscles and the wear and tear of age showed more than usual, he had some teeth missing, yet he licked over his lips and watched the young elf on the side of the bed. What a lovely beauty she was, so tan and healthy from being out in the sun.

She must have read his mind and offered her hand to him.

“You can’t stay here in bed on such a lovely day, come outside with me and get some sun and see how your garden is flourishing.”

His hand shook; but it clasped hers firmly he wasn’t weak but his muscle coordination was poor, and he got out of bed while she put a robe over his shoulders to walk outside. Gentu coughed just from that bit of exercise and it was a rattling cough, surely too ill to be wandering about, but the lovely beauty holding his hand assured him he had her for a crutch in case he fell.

With labored breathing he sat on the bench right before the garden and looked at the sprouting plants and the herbs already high enough to pick. Tehya’s ears didn’t miss the wheezing sound of his breathing and knew he was very ill.

“Years ago I made a list of wishes, I think all on my list have been answered.”

“You are missing one my dear elf, have you thought out your wishes carefully.”

“Why yes I have everything there is to need in life, and a wonderful mate that brings me on lavish dangerous journeys so I don’t become bored. What else could I wish for?”

The old man looked into her blue eyes, and his hand tightened on hers with his eyes filled with tears for he knew his health was failing quickly and told her the wish she had forgot to add to her list.

“Health!”
