What is Shame

Is it the feeling when you do something wrong?

Maybe. Is it the feeling of betrading someone

Maybe. Is it the feeling of not being able to protect someone

For a lonely vulpine yes.

He wasnt able to protect those he love and for that he feels ashamed

He wasnt able to protect them from himself when he was cursed and for that he is ashamed of himself

That is just one of the many forms shame can take shape
