To Kill a Fool

The same day and time of her accident March 18th a Monday at 11:00 PM, and every week since the shrill sound of the phone sent her into chills and terror. It had been one year since her accident that put her into a coma for six months and her recovery was still slow. Sent home on a six month leave and medical care, her memory was jumbled but improving each day.

Another Monday another phone call! Her shallow breathing and the catch in her throat was all he heard on the phone after she asked who it was. It jostled her memory some more not being able to pinpoint who would stalk her like this. From all she could remember she had no enemies that wanted to harm her.

It was on a Saturday night when she was driving home from a late shift at the hospital. The same night the bar crowd filled the streets. Bright lights came at her and she remembered swerving to avoid the crash only to hear a thud against her car, and another car hitting her straight on.

Megan Miller was a single woman in New York City and her career was up-coming with many validations, her hope was to become head nurse in the trauma unit. That was her dreams, now she couldn't even practice medicine until she recovered from her injuries; luckily the woman she hit wasn't injured so badly that she would die. But she did read months later she died after a long illness.

The police report named the person hit as Sharon Vtones a known prostitute on the East Side...that is what angered the person who called Meg each week. She couldn't figure out why he stalked her about Sharon surviving and accusing her of things she had no control over.

He didn't care if that bitch of a nurse ever got her memory back, and cared less if she recovered. Ruining his plans of murdering Sharon made him mad to this day. He had carved the knife into Sharon's chest slowly slicing into her when she bolted and escaped, only to run right out into the street. That was when Nurse Megan slammed into her with her car stunning both the victim and murderer.

Dr. Timothy Jones found out he was infected with HIV from Sharon Vtones even after he asked her if she was clean. Jones kept his secret safe and had a lot of punishing to do. They all deserved to die.
Megan would be next.

A woman he had terrorized for a year, and now he lost the opportunity to hear her scream and watch her bleed. Gone just like that, and his plans were ruined. That meant Megan would be his next victim, though he didn't think her screams would be as sweet as Sharon's.

Finally given permission to go back to work Megan met the team on the trauma unit. Dr. Jones took quite a liking to her, and she found him watching her more than necessary. She always wondered how he got that scar on his arm, and at times when treating trauma patients their eyes met his having a cold blue gleam in them.

There was something about him and his voice with that gravely touch reminded her of her stalker. One day they were working on a prostitute coming into the Urgent Care, she noticed him not tending to the protocol treatment. Several times after, he did the same thing, purposely not giving prostitutes life saving measures.

"Dr. Jones, hurry paddles please!"

He glared at Meg, and she had a peculiar smile on her face.

That is when he felt a prick of a needle going into his forearm.

Head Cardiologist... Hurry Dr Jones is down!

Megan knew killing him was saving numerous lives and the serum she gave him would just replicate a heart attack, which it did.

The fool was dead, and the mysterious prostitutes deaths stopped, as did her own terrifying stalking. The stalking ceased and the Urgent Care was once again diligent in its treatments.

'Bleeps From the fool afar'

if only the ocean was not so wide or deep,
I would know you by heart and weep,
for a friend to be I should forever keep,
a mind and soul's givings I shall reap,
with afternoon tea a steep,
while in thine presence i shall weep,
this is no sorrowful peep,
as nature prevents some sleep,
rending unto me thoughts so cheap,
that even lusts do not creep,
until the clock internal does beep
and sadness my heart does seep
for afar there can be no leap,
across an ocean so wide and deep.

Stare at her nipples and they'll be the last thing you ever see!

These are amazing entries, very entertaining. I enjoy coming to this thread (no pun intended with the verb there!). Well done all, sadly, time limited to contribute always to this thread myself.
