Thallis Meeting 10-15-19

People who attended: Traael, BlackDawn, Grace, Lindor, Oruedin, Zeddular

Regarding smuggled goods on ships. People, exotic food, and animals. Also some golds, gems things not native to Thallis.

Goal to finding the routes the smugglers are using. Traael has found out where, the are getting stuff from, where they deport from and smuggle into Thallis. This was not revealed during the meeting.

Main questions are:
Who is taking the goods?
Current plan is to plan a fake pirate attack on the locations.

Lindor is familiar with pirate tactics from when she ran things along the eastern trade route.

Oruedin’s question is Who is the supplier and who are the buyers. With the idea of closing up the buyers to try to dry up the desire to unload in Thallis. Another idea he had was to buy the goods to try to track it backwards and/ or capture the pirates bringing it in.

Zeddular offered to help in whatever way he is needed. commenting that the pirates themselves wont help, because you still have the supplier who will find others to run the goods and take them.

Traael needs the names the suppliers and recipients the most. A need for spies.

Grace is to try to talk with the unwilling passengers to see what information she can learn from where they came from or where they passed through as captives. Look for any brands or marks to get more information. They seem afraid of Traael for some reason.

Black dawn will be in charge of the spies with Zeddular.

Lindor is in charge of the training sessions

Oruedin will search the ships with Traael in the middle of the night to see what’s aboard.

Blackdawn does not agree with the short amount of time she could learn and be as effective as experienced Lindor to captain a ship. She would prefer more time to practice and learn everything. She does not agree that stealing the stolen goods would be beneficial.

Lindor would like to have Blackdawns War knowledge and being Traaels right hand to help guide the ships in the ways consistent with Thallis. She’d also like the freedom to cast spells when engaged and not needing to give orders to the crew.

Grace will use the resources at Ishtars temple as needed to try to calm the unwilling souls, and track any that might be marked. She also offered to be bait to try to find the routes.

Oruedin spoke of returning stolen goods to the original owners. Or keep things to fill Thallis’ coffers for the cost of the hunt.

Zeddular also backs Blackdawn’s concern about the short amount of time to learn ships. For she is unfamiliar with ships. He will support Dawn and aid her as much as he can if she so choses.

Traael knows the trade routes and where they stop. She has no clue who is in charge, supplying and/or buying.

Per Traael Lindor will train everyone interested in Naval combat. in the next three days on the Firstday of the
third week of Highharvest. She would like Blackdawn to learn to lead the Navy in the future. She might have a couple plans for Grace as bait. And Grace is to report any findings about the unwilling passengers daily. To also try to figure out why the amount of slaves never match manifests.

Blackdawn reiterated she has no true interest to learn to be a naval captain when they already had one. She wills concentrate on getting spies.

Oruedin and Zeddular offered any assistance as needed.

Zeddular also seconded looking for brands or marks on the unwilling passengers.
