The People of Maradia

Seemingly it is the Amahil people that make up the entirety of Maradias native population.. We speculate they originate from Dethsiris having crossed through the bridge like us and then simply having gotten stuck amongst this ever shifting land. To say that they have settled it is a stretch perhaps as the majority of them are constantly in motion over the island. Nomadic as ever...
Living in quick to set up yurts and tents. Though there are a few that have settled at the coasts living in shacks supported by poles right over the water. These seem to spring up quickly and disappear just as fast at times and they seem able to float them across calm waters if they need to.
There are also rumors... whispering of a few Amahil that live their lives atop of beasts from the deep... giant crustaceans that carry these peoples homes atop their back across the rocky ground, fields even across rivers.

These Amahil seldom seem to dig or utilize the rich minerals in the earth of Maradia... superstition perhaps... to many mining accidents... thus despite the rich amount of copper and mithrill all they seem to use this for are smaller pieces of work like jewelry. For their tools and weaponry... their hunting gear etc they have opted to use an even more abundant material on Maradia... Obsidian. The volcanic glass sharp and easily shaped... and probably safer to get at then digging through rock that might very well be liquid just beneath the surface and gases that can choke someone in moments. Ronja notes that these weapons would be rather ineffective against plate mail.
