Waxling
"The Living Candle"
Size: 1ft tall, 3ft long (Stretched out, noses to tail-tips)
Type: Mystical Companion
The waxling is a strange creature. Its form resembles a small three-headed lizard of off-white wax forever melting into itself, with a soft flame within forever burning and showing through its eyes and mouth. Each head has its own personality and they tend to thus have different feelings and expressions. It has four stubby legs and a long tri-tipped tail. When scared, sleeping, or playing, it can pull its limbs and heads into itself and become a ball.
Waxlings eat dry dead wood, tinder, coal and really anything that's flammable, although their mouths do not set these materials aflame. Though a burning marshmallow or ember is a delicious snack all the same! They enjoy warmth and can often be found curled up in glowing embers. In the wild, these odd creatures help clean up after the devastation of forest fires by eating the charcoaled torched wood and making nests out of it. Waxlings tend to live alone, but twice a year they go seeking a mate. They lay waxy round eggs and like birds, gain a parental impression to the first living being they see upon hatchling.
Ability Outline:
Fire Immunity - Waxlings are immune to natural fire. This means forest fires, hearth fires, and campfires. This does not make them immune to magical fires such as targeted or area-of-effect spells.
Aglow - Due to its living flame insides, the waxling always gives off a soft orange, warm glow. This isn't good for sneaking, but can help ward off dangerous cold.
