"1 round per 3 slots"

Several spells have in the description that they last for "1 round per 3 slots (or X slots)", leaving open the question of whether it's rounded up or down. What happens when you have 1 slot? Or 5? Or 10?

Same question would apply to spells that have "+1 damage per 3 slots" or that cost "1 stamina per 3 slots" as well.

From previous experience.. it is simply 1 round or 1 damage per 3 levels/slots. If you don't have a full set of three, then its not counted, so a spell dealing 1 point of damage per three slots, cast at 5 slots would do 1 damage, cast at 6 slots does, so basically rounding it down to the nearest multiple in question.

What about if you have only 1 slot? Is the spell ineffective, or is there always a minimum of 1 round/damage?

From the explanations I've had, its simply lacking in power to be able to do anything, so you can still cast it, but its just not going to have any effect until you can put the proper amount of effort into it to get it doing what it should.

indeed what Twerlinger said there are some spells that need a specific amount of slots in it to even be used effectively.
