I may have missed this because I don't dabble too deeply in the affairs of wizards, but...if we don't have spells or a system for them, have the ideas of magic suppression, dispelling, or disenchanting been tossed up? Even counterspelling? Makes sense to me at least, in a world rife with magic and power. If not, I can drum something up and see how it fairs in the review chain.

They come up every now and then. And as of now the answer is a no as far as having a system for such things as far as dispelling goes. There's some form of suppression with some spells but nothing major. As far as I'm aware it doesn't seem to be something that SB wants in the game, or perhaps there just hasn't been a good enough submission for such a system.
