Hey everyone! So...this is something that I've been thinking about a lot lately. We have elemental mages, nacromancers, seductresses, clerics, even a race of mages with their own special spells...but no illusionists! *le gasp!* I know, I know, there's an illusion sphere, but it's small and not really conducive to higher-level characters, with no class featuring it as their signature pool of spells.
So what I'd like to do is, well, write up an Illusionist advanced class (it can be called something else - Mesmer maybe, or Phantasmagorist, or whatever) and a sphere to go with it, just like the aforementioned specialized spheres for the elements or dark arts. It would be accessible via mage or bard (and whatever else the admin sees fit, of course) and feature a spell list comparable to the currently existing magic advanced classes in scope and selection, but geared toward illusions where they are toward elements or creepy death stuff (^_-).
However...before I write it up and all, I'd like to get an initial reaction - is this something other people want, or just me? That goes especially for the class devs, naturally - I would love to help add to the game, and I've been told I'm pretty good at this kind of thing so I'm confident I can build something suitable, but if I'm the only one interested it's kinda a moot point. <_<
(Posted in Classes and Spells since this would figure into both)
