Owner selling of slave

Has that slave you just had to collar lost its appeal over time? Perhaps a new potential slave has caught the your attention. Perhaps some OOC reasons are to blame. Whatever the cause, sometimes a collar needs to be removed. Most often, a slave will be released by simply posting for a decollaring on the MB, but rarely the roleplay may lead in a direction where a slave might move straight from one owner to another and until now, such a case would be handled by the decollaring taking place followed by the formalities of a new collar once the slave was free.

But now for that rare occasion, there exists the possibility for the old slave owner to arrange the sale of his slave to a new owner. The actual exchange of funds between owners is obviously a matter for the individual characters. The following is how it will handled in relation to the ISA:

1. If the slave has been collared less than six months (real world time), the exchange of collars must be arranged by a registered slaver who will set and charge a fee for handling the exchange. This is to avoid characters who are not paying the fee of a registered slaver from capturing slaves for profit.

2. If the slave has been collared six months or more, then the exchange will be handled in a single session by the ISA.

3. Both the slave and owner must post their OOC consent to decollaring on the MB.

4. Both the slave and new owner must post their OOC consent to collaring on the MB.

5. It must be stated that this is a slave sale by owner.

6. The time factors for both decollar and new collar will run in parallel. The normal waiting week for collaring will apply.

7. Once the waiting period has expired the ISA will perform the decollar and new collaring in a single IC transaction which follows the same rules as any new collar, including the presence of characters and the payment of the standard registration fee by the new owner.
