Flames within the Mountain

Postby Kydo on Sat May 22, 2010 1:33 am

Kydo had told the man that he would return and indeed he would. He came back in the evening, however he was carrying the body of his mate in his arms. She was held tenderly and he would simply take a seat in that temple until such a time as Sorgram came back once again. He had heard that something occured, however he wasn't sure what it was.

However when Sorgram would return he would lay the body of his mate upon that anvil if he was given that go ahead to do so. WIth her laid out he would take a step away and give the man room. "All I can ask is that you try." He whispered before let a prayer out just beneath his breath. He only hoped that his work would at least grant him this one boon.

Sorgram took note of Kudos but as he was drained from an earlier ressurection, he reserved this for the ritual. Removing deftly as with great skill the vestaments the corpse wore, he began to prepare the body. A soft cloth was dipped into a bucket and care was used in cleansing the female corpse. No matter how clean the corpse may gave bee, it was decreed that it should be done by the temple and was done so, thoroughly. Any protestation would be met with a hard fiery gaze and silence. Once this was completed, sacred oils were applied to the corpse for preparation of ash and soul.

As this was completed, a chant for the awakening of the Fire and Mountain was started in an ancient dialect. The dark draks would bring short a great crystal chalice, in which a seed burned white hot. Reaching in, the dragon priest would grasp the seed. Burning hotter than any flame he grasped it tightly hiding barely the scorgching pain he felt. Upon the bare chest of the young woman, he would place the seed. From it a silvery wisp would emerge and suffuse itself into the body. As he began an application of ash, the seed would dissolve. Here he would begin the calling of the soul.

The torches would douse and the only l ight would be from the silvery pulsing about the corpse and Sorgram's eyes. A different chant was started and he would move away toward the darkness. A blue disc would appear and float down into the darkness. after a moment or two had passed the disc would rise up with a small amount of glowing orange liquid on it. Sorram would touch an object to this jelly like substance andd it would flow up the shappe, which seemed to be daggerish. Another chant was begun for the sealing of the soul into the body. As it was comppleted, the dagger like object was thrust into the corpse. When extracted it was no longer glowing and the silver glow seemed to have coalesced in that spot. Sorgram applied a small amount of remaining ash to her breast.

The glows faded and darkness consumed the remaining light. A soft voice was heard either from exhaustion or care, only this was bheard."....with a kiss life is restored." After that silence and then a sound of a body hitting the floor.

Once light was found, Sorgram would be found, a fresh scar from two burns would be on his hand...one a hammer the other an anvil. The hammer appeared to be resting handle up on the anvil. Myra would appear in a deep sleep and be unable to be woken until daylight. It would be warned that she should not wash until morning, to do so may risk her life. On cleansing and the ash removed from her wing, two hammers would be made out, slightly more distinct in color, they would stand out against her wings. One on each wing.

Almost 2 weeks it had been since she had taken her last breathe. Apparently Alta didn't like being told "No" to often. 2 weeks of her spirit pacing in another land wanting to return to those that meant so much to her. She had figured that her slaves were probably trying to kill each other.. her mate, that was a completely different story. She knew without her there that her home was chaos and she needed to find a way back. The gods chose the worst time to abandon her when she had been so dedicated to Ishtar when she chose the path of seductress. Was Ishtar that upset that she had decided to chose a stronger path?

It was that tug to her spirit that surprised her, the call to return to her body that she had been so rudely taken from, that surprised her as she would faintly start hearing the chanting around her, feel ones hands upon her body and then darkness again as she fell into a sleep. Her body again needing time to heal itself and get use to being used and knowing that she would be a bit weak and need that sleep greatly.

Her silver wings though.. would carry the mark of the god. The Hammer upon her wing there in a slightly darker silver, a show of what lengths her mate would go to to have her returned to him and the dedication there.

A note left with her things. A flowing hand, most defnitely female as the script was legible and perfect, with that sensuous feminity about it.

'Seek the dragon, he demands tribute.'

A silver hammer, embossed on the parchment, matching exactly the hammer on her wings, was in place of a signature.
