Since the emperor doesn't like dealing with crowds (or anything else that he can delegate) two new positions have been created:

Hierarch - the emperor's overseer of religious matters. IC this person will report to Stormbringer on the state of religion within the empire and as such will liaise with the HP's and others to make sure each deity is likely to remain happy and recognised according to their status.

The first Heirach will be Christolf

Archmage - the emperor's overseer on magical matters. IC this person will report to Stormbringer on the affairs of the towers and the use or neglect of magic generally.

The first Archmage is Archaon

Both will retain their positions on the wider Town Council as a part of these appointments

IC and OOC these are considered advisory positions, not over-managers. Their work will particularly be to highlight problems which lead to those important aspects of the game not providing the level of potential which players can expect. Both religion and magic have a lot to offer in adding depth to the roleplay in TLI but in an ever-changing environment they don't always work as well as they could.

Traditionally having the admin become aware of problems has been very haphazard and often takes months to even know they exist, so having that process improved should lead to a much more effective handling of those problems. Managers in those areas will hopefully see this, not as someone looking to criticise their work, but as an opportunity to gain any assistance they need to give their own locations the best exposure within play, for the benefit of everyone.

As of the time of this posting, the current Hiearch should be Matwyn.
