Family Ties

Somewhere in the depths of time is a story of three very different people, tied together by blood. This story is of Kalagoth T’Rinn, Lethtal Nethalm and Alexa D’Vyne and how the fates would bring them together unbeknownst.

Within the depths of the Earth, in the underdark, was the great city of Xin`Hrath-Arui, was the house of Ceor`Dynsho, one of the great houses of the dark elven race. Ruling this city, was the great Matron Thys’lyin T’Rinn, who ruled her house, and the city, with a heavy iron gauntlet. Thys’lyin had great ambition, to spread the houses infamy and power as far and deep as she could, however that would mean that slaves were needed, both male and female, to work the mines, to tend to those who needed it and to serve in the house. She called forth the Blackguard, her personal army, lead by Xliadrian, her preferred mate, to make plans of assault on those who lived in the lands directly above them.

Xliadrian and Thys’lyin had a child already, a girl that they named Alexa, who would be the heir of the Matrons seat and of the great city Xin`Hrath-Arui, she was of pure dark elven blood, and was showered with gifts from all of the houses within the city, likely out of fear of their lives if they hadn’t.. The girl heir was supposed to also follow the knowledge that her mother did, that of magicks and of Necromancy, for that was the way that the T’Rinn lineage had followed since the birth of the Great city. The Matron and her Blackguard went over the plans of assault on the races that lived near the cavern entrance that lead to the underdark, be it elves, cat folks, a scarce human settlement, or even a pack of goblins that has moved only temporarily, they would take all the captives that they could. Their first target was the Feline settlement of The Suns Caress.

The Suns Caress was a rather quite village of Cat people from the clan of Kurafuto, which are farmers, crafters, weavers, things of that sort. They weren’t prepared when the Blackguard and his troupe tore through the forest. The dark elves razed the land, killing off any who were deemed useless, most were captured and the rest fled into the forest. Those that had fled found themselves closer to the river that they fished from, away from the terror and hatred that the dark elves had inflicted upon them, however it wasn’t to last. Building crude shelters from natural supplies, they rested their bones and attempted to ease their fears… sadly, that evening a small group of human slavers found this pitiful group of cat folk, slaughtering a few with spear and club, enslaving those they could, and dumping the rest, bound in rope, into the river that served them so well in the past.

One child tore through his ropes and quickly swam to the surface, sputtering for breath that only came hesitantly. Soaking wet, without memory of who he truly was and waiting for a family that no longer existed, Lethtal Nethalm made his way into the night, a broken child who would be no better than the dark elves and humans who tore through his life. The childs mother was one by the name of Piraa, daughter of Mascii and Kirutu, the leaders of The Suns Caress, had been taken by the Dark elves in the onslaught that occurred earlier in the day, along with a number of other cat folk, to be house slaves, to tend to the wishes and whims of their dark elven masters.

Xliadrian, upon arriving back in Xin`Hrath-Arui took only one slave from the group of whimpering catgirls, the only one that stood tall and would not call defeat, the Kurafuto named Piraa. Her attitude would earn her frequent beatings and left chained to his chamber wall for days on end without food or drink, in constant view of the public eye whenever he chose to amuse himself and abuse her. Frequently he'd call upon her sexual talents to sate his aggressions and tension, till the day that her belly started to swell with child. The mother, Piraa, swore that her child would know its heritage; even despite the abuse she took she adored her master, having been broken after one particular time where the Matron paid a visit to her Blackguard. The father had little interest in the halfblooded child, though little did he know that such child, from the blood he and his slave shared, made to come about the child of Sinners blood: Kalagoth T`Rinn.

Ever since he was young enough to remember, Kalagoth had been in trouble and followed by it, constant and continued threats to his life and his well being, which drove him to run away often. Such was the life of a bard, as his mother taught him to be as his grandfather was, the ways of the bard, though tainted by the few and far between lessons his father would give, through brutal force and senseless destruction. So the child with the Sinners Blood would know no rest, know no peace, even now, within the lands where The Lonely Inn is residence, he cannot find respite in any way, the love of his life with a master, friends he cannot be near and enemies who wish his head, this is the life of Kalagoth T`Rinn of House Ceor`Dynsho, though he never tells anyone of his true house, he simply came to make one up, the House J'kael'da'nehbourn, in fear those who hate his blood House would seek to destroy him.

The halfblooded found his way to the area of land where The Lonely Inn resided, which at first seemed to be a mistake.. such a dangerous land filled with people who would more than likely wish to kill him. He always figured people wanted him dead due to his giving 'minsterations' to the wives, daughters, sisters..etc but he never knew the real reason why. Strangely enough, these lands had called out to the Feline man named Lethtal Nethalm, Kalagoth’s half brother, and he’d made residence here as well, spreading around his own brand of maliciousness to anyone who sparked his ire and hatred.

Nearly a year would pass before Alexa stumbled upon Nanthalion and The Lonely Inn, having fled from the Underdark and the Matron, her mother, due to not taking up the reigns of the House and of Necromancy. She had found herself in the calling of thievery, giving herself the surname of D’Vyne to hide whom she was, stealing what she could to survive as she moved from city to city, town to town… till fate had a Nightmare stumble over her form and take her as his slave and lover. So too came to these lands, Alexa D’vyne, Half sister of Kalagoth T’Rinn, a triad of unlikely family.

This is their story…
