Part 16: Aki Tsune
A true but short account of my time with an elf foxy lady
Aki_Tsune{Y} “Lets see.. name is Aki Tsune, I'm a half-breed Sylvan elf Fox spirit. Mostly what I do is find new things to fill my time. At the moment I'm slaved to Yuna.”
sarai{Ehl} “What’s a fox spirit when its at home then?”
Aki_Tsune{Y} “It's complicated... I guess we should simplify things. Just put down half-Vulpine.”
sarai{Ehl} “Alright, and your a slave?”
Aki_Tsune{Y} “yes.”
sarai{Ehl} “And that happened how?”
Aki_Tsune{Y} giggled “It seemed like a good idea at the time. I'm not going to die of old age, so what are a few decades as another's property? It's certainly proved interesting so far.”
sarai{Ehl} “Interesting how?”
Aki_Tsune{Y} “Putting myself completely under another’s' control, having someone who's every whim is a command to me... it's hard to explain. It's not quite like anything else.”
sarai{Ehl} "Well I’ve been a slave all my life so know what you mean, but people reading this wont, so could you try explaining please?"
Aki_Tsune{Y} folded her hands under her chin, thoughtfully “I suppose it's a different kind of freedom, almost. It's servitude, complete and utter surrender to another, which curbs free will, but then... it's also freedom of a sort. As long as you DO perform well, it's also safety. There's no need to worry about long-term needs, or food or a home and that's a huge relief, coming from a Scout like me.”
sarai{Ehl} "And what is Yuna like for an owner?"
Aki_Tsune{Y} “She's... not weak, that's not the right word. She's kind, and looks after us well. She's undemanding, normally, though she does have a rather one-track mind. She didn't demand that I go into her servitude or try to force me. She actually broached the idea as 'protection'. She didn't force the one who turned her down, though.”
sarai{Ehl} “So other than be a slave, what else do you do around these parts?”
Aki_Tsune{Y} “I talk to people, try and earn a little cash - though really, anything I own is Yuna's - and I work to make sure people aren't foolish about the forests.”
sarai{Ehl} “So your like a ranger?”
Aki_Tsune{Y} “yes, I suppose that would be the word... this isn't my first language, so forgive me if I'm not very clear. The word translates as several things... 'protector' and 'scout'... 'ranger' is another, I suppose.”
sarai{Ehl} “Anything else?”
Aki_Tsune{Y} “Anything else you want to know?”
sarai{Ehl} “Well if you could sum all this up in one word, what would it be?”
Aki_Tsune{Y} “Sum up my life in one word... hm”
