Letter to Angel

The letter is found beside her bedside table. Inside is a rose and feather. The letter is tied up with a piece of red ribbon. The letter is written in script, the words seem to flourish with life within the parchment.

Twentieth day of the twelfth month of the Julian calendar

My dearest Angel,

It’s quite hard to write this now. With all the ease I’ve had sharing my feelings with you, its times like these where I need to write. Otherwise I’d just find myself standing in front of you with a blank expression upon my face. How do I show my love to you? Sure, the constant pleasure we consistently share is one way, but what of the other ways? Is this all what love is? Lust for one another? Not that I mind that, it just seems that I’m not doing enough for you. I could buy you numerous items and jewels, but to me, that wouldn’t seem enough. I could treat you to seven continual days and nights of unbridled passion, but I would never feel like I gave you enough. I could venture off upon a journey to bring you the rarest flowers, but I already have the rarest flower of them all. I could... I could do anything for you, but it would never seem enough. Is that what love is? Not being able to fulfill yourself for your betrothed?

Angel, please do not criticize me for my actions. I have chosen to seek what it means to be fulfilled. My master might have the answers I’m seeking. I am writing to tell you that I plan to spend time at his castle. I only require this time for my master is wise, perhaps as wise as Story. I wish to be beside you again in as short amount of time as possible. The time we spent apart was quite unbearable. Even though I was with you in spirit through our pendants, I saw what you went through as if I was following behind you. You fought well; I wish I could have fought with you though. I closed my eyes and I followed you from the time you entered the temple to the time you left. The people near me at the time said I went into a coma or something like that. Angel, I’m all right now. Don’t worry.

My dear, I have one request of you. Please, do not tangle with the one who refers to himself as Shaka. He and I are fighting our own battle with each other. I do not need you involved by fighting for me. As you forbade me to fight during your absence, so must I. However, you and I will fight side by side someday; the angel and the rose, together in battle and love.

Angel, love, take good care of Morgan, he loves us as much as we love him, and possibly even more so. Console him for his loss. Our love for him will save his soul from eternal sadness. I will return soon, my beloved. Take care, for I will as well.

Quand vous rencontrez quelqu'un, c'est une occasion joyeuse. Quand ils reviennent à vous encore, c'est le ciel lui-même.

With all my love to you,
