Zingara

Zingara Becomes An Air Mage

Unigo, Tower of magic, it was probably built where it was because it had some strong pull of the forces there, not that it would matter much, as Mages and such gathered, they would create a pull there soon enough. And what would be so important about this pull of the Magic force? This pull would force one small Chirot to finally except a past, a, a life which she had shunned for so long…

Night was coming again like it did each day’s end, and with it a beautiful setting of the sun as strong lit moon could already be seen. Zingara watched it from above the tower, sitting searching perhaps for inspiration for another song, or perhaps reflecting on who and what she had became in her life thus far. Whatever the case this was suppose to be time for her to of been alone up there, it was being transposed into music, poem, story and song and she was working peacefully sitting alone, like she liked to be most of the time, free of the expectations and will of others.

The wind was tranquil, the weather still cold for this time of year, though it mattered little to her. As she tried to gather herself she would look down over the area about her, something seemed off, a probing guest? sour wine? No something was foul deep with in her, it started small, thus was disregarded. She wrote words and notes, lyrics and poems, but soon that presence was forcing her concentration away from the works and upon remaining serene, it wasn’t painful, just scary, like seeing or more apt feeling the dead… it was the only to describe the raw swirl of emotions and energies she felt rising up against her will. Goosebumps ran up her body, something she had never seen happen before, she took into account she was at Unigo, and forced herself to blame the building, the area, little did she know she was half right. She pushed from the building, extending her beautiful leathery wings, soaring up into the sky or at least tried to, but felt the wind hold her in place. Panic rose as she realized that some sick mind magic wielder was at the root of this, causing her fears to erupt more so. she started to snarl and yelled at the cowardly mage whom played such a trick upon her, challenging them to face her, but none showed, and then it struck her, not realization, or freedom or enlightenment, but a bolt of electricity from the sky above, and it held, then another and another, making surely a sight upon the tower, a scream of pain reached out from her very soul as something with in Unigo finally taped the Chirots hidden powers, powers she had contested since she was a child, powers she had been hiding all these years behind the guise of a Knight or Bard, powers that would burst and no longer be held back, they were liberated and in a tantrum from neglect and resentment it was as if they were seeking her to except no perhaps want them.

From below all people could see was the wind start to scream and howl as lightning skittered towards the tower from unknown places… wait no not to.. but FROM the tower, whatever or whoever was up there was unleashing wild magic it seemed magic enough to rip themselves apart at this rate, the winds grew into a tornado with the eye the tower on Unigo, burst of wild electricity rolling through the wind and a painful scream of mercy offered from a small scared Chirot.

Zingara, no Natshiea had been lucky, ever since she had ran away from home she had avoided the truth, a name change and a land with many people, no one know her or recognized her as the run away Chirot, she had been safe and even FREE of her past, but now, she was forced to come face to face with it fast or else it would destroy her, possibly more. “No…No…. NO!” she screamed and sobbed as she fought to control it, try to channel it to the lute, perhaps it really was mystical… if so it wasn’t responding she cursed her father, she knew that he had a reason for wanting her to study magic, the man KNEW what she was, and now it might Kill her, now only one hope was left Sheara…

“This world is pushing me downHolding me to the groundJust wanna be,Free to be me………Free to be me.

I wish I could Fly……I know I wouldn’t mind,No I wouldn’t mind

But it’s not gonna happen……Pushing me to the ground…No, not letting me soar

…Just let me be meI can’t understand….….…Let me be me

It wasn’t the full version, she couldn’t concentrate enough for that, but it worked, it channeled enough power that the “show” subsided and she collapsed, and fell tumbling to the ground far, far below, it would be weeks before she awoke, laying in the healers guild, not do to bodily wounds, those were healed quickly by whom ever found her at took her there, it was her mind, it was dealing with the truth it had forgot, and facing the lies it believed it took great strength to accept what she was, but in the end she was able to over come the nightmare, she only hoped none knew she caused the trauma at Unigo
