Gerard is tall and muscular but not bulky, with dark neck-length hair, mildly unshaven beard and brown eyes. When walking around town he is usually found wearing protective gear with his sword dangling to the side, ready to fight at a moment's notice.
He is quite distrustful of strangers, preferring to stay out of cowds and let his sword do the talking when necessary. Once you do get close to him you'll find he is generally approachable, though trying to get actual information can be quite a pain.
He wears a black shadow weave armour and a mithril bastard sword dangling from his waist.
When out of town he is often seen riding a black Arabian breed horse called "Eclipse." |

| Background | The son of a blacksmith and a maid, Gerard has from an early age shown an interest in handling the tools of his father's trade, much to the old man's dismay.
Since he was a young boy he would sneak in and play with the weapons his father was commissioned to make or repair, leaving them worse for the wear. As the years went by his father gave up trying to change his mind and, as return for a previous favour, asked a swordsman to train his son in the art of fighting.
Gerard then spent the next several years as a fighter for hire, offering his services to whoever was willing to pay, whether it was guarding a warehouse, protecting someone or chasing a runaway slave.
He comes to Nanthalion in the hope of sharpening his skills, knowing the place is famous both for the best fighters and the richest employers. |
