The Tales of Ellyssa the Bard: Save a Horse, Ride a Cow Boy

It is a night like any other at the Inn, and the wandering bard raises her voice to cut through the background chatter. “Now this is a tale you all may have heard of the time a herd of cattle stampeded right through the center of Nanthalion”. She strums a discordant chord on her lute and continues.

“Now this is how it came to pass. Angus McClintock of the Belshire McClintocks and his small, but mighty, clan of Minotaurs were driving their herd of cattle to Nanthalion, to fetch a good price at the general store. Angus’ cows were known for being fine specimens, equally apt for milking or meat, but perhaps just a touch flighty. This was hardly the first time they had made their cattle drive, and nothing had ever gone wrong. But this time, as the cattle, weary and out of temper from the heat, and still jittery from a recent thunderstorm, made their way into the outskirts of town, some fool set off a magical explosion, or so goes the tale. And the herd stampeded!”

OOC notes—This is a tale told by a bard, and we all know that bards exaggerate, so, if people die or property is destroyed in this tale, (though of course we don’t expect anything quite that dire) rest assured, it is no more than an embellishment of the bard in question.

Join this mini event for excitement, for adventure, for civic duty, for the chance to bang a Minotaur! Who knows, a grateful shop owner or herd owner may even offer rewards for heroic deeds and preservation of life and property. Or there may just be a barbecue when its all over.
