I remember you sitting at your desk

Mesmerized I watch your fingers never rest

Words imprinted from your mind

Glorify me in the night

I rest in bed cuddled by my duvet

I have no fear or regret

Keep me safe from my own grief

Oh your words such relief

Your mind so scarred and weak

Kept our people from defeat

Now you're old and still so brave

Spreading the stories even from your grave
