Background 'poem' of Hiss, the wild Vulpine
I run, and run and run some more
Can’t remember the things I wore before
Don’t remember much from before the darkness
It is all just a blank mess
We went in but never came out
She started to shout
But I was the only one that heard
The only one that hurt
The darkness lasted so long
Something had gone wrong

There was no way to leave
We would stay here forever was my belief.
We would feast on rats
And sometimes were lucky to encounter some bats
Her screams kept me awake at the ever lasting night
Never again things will be right

Who ever heard from a forgotten basement
Some kind of displacement
No sound would escape
Perhaps it was a place for rape

I run and run and run some more
Can’t remember the things I wore before
Can’t remember anything
Did I once… own a ring?

But then suddenly there was light
It gave us both quite the fright
We had not seen the sun in so long
The brightness was so strong
We tried to leave together
And soon I was greeted by the weather
But she was not there
We used to be a pair

I run and run and run some more
Nothing I had seen before
Everything seemed so strange
The buildings had seen a change
To the people on the street I hissed
There was a stone that only barely missed
My home and partner are no more
I hid behind a door

I miss her screams
Now they only remain in my dreams
I will see her never
I am alone forever
I run and run and run some more
Can’t remember the things I wore before.
