Legends of Belariath

Sheyka Tribes

Tribes and clans are created by players as a way to add depth and variety to the basic races. They vary in completeness but will probably include details about each tribe's particular customs, history and beliefs. While all such groups spring from the original race and share a lot of characteristics with their parent group, isolation can also create many differences over the years. Tribes and Clans can be used as a basis for your character background and style of play but remember they cannot justify ignoring the rules of conduct within the game.

The Ach`unty, the Forest Tribe

“…we are the children of the earth we are. Wanderers, outcasts, survivors… we are the last of our various tribes who believe there is more then silence within a community. We have given up our places within those tribes and became voluntary outcasts among them, we cannot return because we do not want to. The beliefs of those stuck within the past have corrupted the children and will eventually corrupt the world; therefore we fled to the forests. We are all here for different reasons, we are all here with different beliefs but we are all here with the basic understanding that there is more. All we need do is reach out and grasp it…”

The Briar Mountain Tribe

At any given time, the tribe can include up to 200 adults, the children are looked after by the females of their houses. It is the women who are the teachers, gathers, and food providers. It is impossible to find a female warrior within the tribe, as all follow the way of the druid.

The Mir`Thul Tribe

Though they are all the same race, part of the same tribe, and followers of the same gods and chief's, there are greater differences amongst each smaller community that exists within the Mir`thul homelands. Certain communities are more famous than others for various reasons that have brought them fortune and misfortune alike.

The Shadow Falcon Tribe

The Shadow Falcon are little more than a whisper or child’s tale told by the fireside amongst the other Sheyka tribes. Long, long ago they left the main tribes in search of more game and plentiful gathering. They moved into a region of forested, mountainous valleys where they settled into one which was large, wide and open with a good sized river running through it.
